The best way to connect is via the Ethernet jack directly to your router via network cable. At least with my Samsung, the only wireless option is to buy their special branded wireless adapter which costs around $80. And even with this, I heard it might not stream Netflix HD wirelessly. The Netflix HD is surprisingly good. Even the regular Netflix streaming quality isn't too bad.
I am also looking for a blu ray player but would rather avoid the older models. I can live without the BD Live but I do want it to stream Netflix and have an ethernet option. Getting one without an ethernet port is a bad idea in my opinion. You have to look to the near future.
On Black Friday (27 - 29 Nov ) , Costco has this blu ray player on sale with a $35 off coupon in the coupon booklet. Not sure what the price would be on Nov 27 ...
Review are not that great and has no Netflix streaming so I will pass but though I will mention.

For anyone interested - LG BD370, LG BD390, Samsung 1600, Samsung 3600 all contain the same chip. Today, there are only 3 manufacturers that give you Netflix capabilities - LG, Samsung and Insignia and they all use the exact same chip inside. The main difference is - how much memory (DRAM) they have (384 MB vs. 1GB) and whether they have built-in WiFi or not. Built Wi-fi is great if you don't have a wired ethernet jack near the TV/entertainment area. Otherwise the cheaper ones are just fine as well. It is debatable whether any BD Live 2.0 feature is worth anything today so the extra memory isn't all required.
However, some of these companies have disabled the ability to play Divx (AVI) and even WMV (ASF) files via software even though the underlying hardware supports it. If you plan to watch content stored on USB drives or portable hard-drives then you may have to buy the more expensive versions like LG BD390.
I personally would not buy anything without Netflix because I simply love the ability to watch content when I want it. It is much cheaper than the On-demand of Comcast/Verizon/DirecTV and so forth. Yes, the library is small at Netflix but I always find something that I want to watch so yes, no Netflix is a deal killer for me. I am looking for a price of $150 for a player that allows me to play content off USB drives. It still hasn't reached there yet unfortunately.

Thanks for info. So what movie formats can be played with the USB port? I have the Philips from Costco which I bought 10 months back and It broke down...but it used to play most formats on USB drive..

I am planning to buy the one from Insignia which has a built in WiFi/Netflix option. My friend had bought one couple days back and it looks like it can play off of an inserted USB stick
Ps3 is working great with Netflix. I am using DD-WRT router configured as wireless client bridge.
