I found these LEGO Star Wars to be junk.... they are very fragile. This peices are small, and do not "clip" on together well. I bought a Tie Fighter for my son, put it together, and more thank half the time spent trying to put back together a fallen / loose piece. I returned it and had to take a $10 hit on the return (long story).
I would strongly advise against this... my 2 cents anyway.
I have not had any problems with any of mine, unless my 6-year old decided to play with them. These are designed to sit on the shelf, not be moved around.

My son builds them, admires them for half a day, then takes them apart to build a different one. Several weeks later, he'll build it again. Yes, I would think they'd fall apart if you were playing with them like a toy - they're legos.

That deal is no longer good. I was going to buy it for my nephew but my local Target store said the current price is $29.99 So I decided to buy at another store (cheaper - free shipping).
My son is 6 and he LOVES Legos. We have a toddler so we worry about pieces falling too. My husband builds the Legos with my son but he puts a dab of gorilla glue on every piece (except whatever needs to move). It works like a charm for us!

I am happy with my tie fighter from target for $20. disappointed I missed the 50% off through aol. these were $15 then. Definitely worth it.
I never thought of legos as a build once model. Gluing them together seems to be a huge waste. Using the pieces to build whatever you can imagine is most of the fun. My young daughter loves to build things with them. The directs seem like a waste of time to her.

Target deal appears to be dead, but it is currently $26.98 at Amazon.com
