At WalMart.com . Also, Samsung 50'' Class 720p 600Hz Plasma HDTV, PN50B400 for $698 plus the .97 cent shipping and tax, of course. Don't know how these plasmas compare to the Panasonic's equivalent size that are or were just on sale, but seems like a good deal .
Compare to pn42b450, pn42b400 is taken away too many input jackets IMO... Amazon has pictures of all jackets on pn42b400 Amazon Link, take a look and compare it to pn42b450 before you make the call.
EDIT: From the manual on samsung's website, no signs of any inputs on the side of the machine. Which means we DO only get 2 HDMIs, 1 D-sub, 1 set of component, 1 DVI Audio in (share w/ PC audio), Optical out, and antenna in.
My original plan is to order pn42b450 on Newegg for $624 (FS & no tax). But since they just bring the price back to $749, I think I'll consider taking this pn42b400 from WalMart.
You can go to samsungusa.com and do a comparison on their website. Didn't seem like there were any significant differences between the 42" models. Didn't format too well, but the models from left to right are the PN42B400 the 450 and the 430

Mostly just different numbers of inputs. I'd probably take pn42b400 since my budget is around 600. But with very limited inputs, I gonna need a good plan for future expansion..

Actually, pn42b400 has USB (for service also) and D-SUB. And pn42b450 has 1 S-video on the side. But oh well, you know how bad sammy's website and manuals are...

I admit I am a novice TV shopper, but I am confused as to what is a jacket on a TV? Also, are Samsungs as good as (supposedly) Panasonics? Thanks!
That jacket thing I guess it's just my bad english confuses you...(bear with me as english is not my native language). the major difference between pn42b400 and pn42b450 is the number of inputs. As for the PQ between panny and sammy... When I compared panny p42x1 to sammy pn42b450 (the two are about same price range)in BB with my own adjustments, I prefer sammy more for slightly better color, less pixelation, and better brightness. Panny x1 panel isn't "bad", but it is really dark to me and my wife.
