That's the one Netflix seems to advertise a lot. As you said, great reviews on AV forums. Plus the built in 1GB memory means you don't have to add a USB stick just to watch BD-Live content over the Internet.
Yup. I forgot I had left it open so I refreshed the page and there it was for $199 + shipping. $209.47 to my door, w/NO TAX. Great deal!

My eyes must be tired. For a second, I read it as 'netbook.' Thought it was weird to have optical drive in netbooks. LOL

Something smells funny. It took several tries to get it to accept my CC, had to pick the $0 warranty and it accepted the order otherwise 'error' back to the CC screen.
Still they got $208 from me. If they screw with me I'll let amer. ex sort it out because that is a super price on the BD390.
Thanks jzapp! I was still on the fence but for just over $200, I jumped!

I used my AMEX as well (never hurts to be safe, even though I have no reason to think that this is a scam) but no errors for me. This is totally the kind of B&M store where a older guy in a suit tries to upsell you on something, so the "add a warranty page" kind of made me laugh, but even with tax this seems like a great deal to me.

I had the same issue. I thought maybe my CC company rejected it as a suspicious purchase at first, but then I went thru the screens again and chose the $0 option, even though one of the submit buttons stated "Continue without buying additional warranty" and I thought that was all I needed to click.

Thanks very much OP, I've been looking for this unit for 2 months and told myself when it hits $200.00 I would buy. $211.00 with shipping close enough for me.

Thanks dsprint. I'd been eyeballing this one too but couldn't rationalize the price difference btween this and the BD370. I almost bought the BD370 a couple times, but kept holding off since it's price seemed pretty stable on Amazon and I hoped it might drop even more.
I happened to be visiting a town with a local ABC Warehouse store this weekend where they were selling the BD390 for $199, but I didn't stop by the store to buy the player while I was there. I thought it would be the same price online and was disappointed when I got home and saw it was $30 more. Even at that point I thought about it but $30 is $30. A little too much to get me to buy, but not a big enough savings for me to drive hours and hours back to buy it at the B&M. When jzapp reported that the online price had dropped to $199 I figured I should jump. I haven't seen it that low anywhere.
thanks op, picked one up. It is the best price that I've seen on this model, which is very highly rated on cnet. Plus it is the perfect compliment to the 47lh90 led lcd that i picked up 1.5 months ago. Great picture on cable, but i've seen how good blu ray is on it in the store. greeeeeeen...

ditto, my exact price point to get this, was looking at a lot of lower models: bd370, panny dk60(?), sammy 1600. i know the price will be lower in 1-2 mos, maybe less time, but i'll have it for the holidays ; )
shizANDgigglez said: Mine is still "in process". Ordered on the 23rd. TY, Did your status change before it was delivered or did it say In Process the whole time? Thanks.
I'm not sure
I ordered mine on the 23rd in the late afternoon, right before my reply to jzapp, and they actually shipped on the 24th out of Michigan and tried to deliver it to me on the 25th. I got an email on the evening of the 24th saying it had been shipped but didn't see it until the 25th because I was travelling. I didn't check the status prior to today, so I can't really say when it changed from "in process" to anything else, but I did get the 'shipped' email so if you haven't seen that, then I'm guessing yours hasn't shipped.
I found a SD thread over the weekend about this deal where somebody said that they had talked to ABCwarehouse and were told that they were running low on stock but were getting more in, or something like that. So maybe it's just a matter of time. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Called store today about order placed on the 23rd. I was told no units were in stock and they would be getting more later this week from other stores. If units do not come in they will send an e-mail to all the people that called in today.

Thanks for the info. It appears that they charged me for it, so I hope they get more in. I'll update when I hear something.
