So it's $374.99 for the better system and add another $40 more to get 4GB instead of 3GB. That puts it over $400 bucks. Plus you'll have to add shipping and tax to that too.

Yes, but aren't most of these companies outsourcing to India,etc? Even Dell, which use to be "American" with home-based tech support, now has overseas tech support.
Better to get a store's extended service (I.E. Best Buy, etc) That way THEY, NOT YOU are responsible for resolving the problems.
