great tool!!! have one / w/4-for-3 promo for ~$9 (makes a good gift to someone who 'll appreciate it! (don't give one to your wife for anniversary !!!))
Product Features

I have of these as well, got it > 3 years ago for $8.99 from Amaz0n .
When the description says small or half potatoes they do mean really small potatoes. The larger size spuds we buy usually have to be cut into 1/2 or 1/3 length and sometimes cut in 1/2 width as well.
They do make a much larger model for a good bit more money, but it gets a lot of bad reviews. The larger the whole potato the more force you have to exert (and the cutter has to stand). The small one is pretty easy to use but you can't make very large fries with it, the large one potentially could make much larger fries but it seems most folks can't generate enough force to work it or the slicer bends / breaks if you can.
FYI: I think they have a very similar or identical one on sale in harbor freight for either 6.99 or 7.99 every week I have been in. Can't speak on the quality of it, but if someone would rather buy one in person, here you go!

I have the one from HF and spent under $5 on it. It looks exactly like this one except it's red.
Actually, the one I have from HF looks like it's better. It has a suction cup bottom which holds it to the countertop. This is extremely helpful as you put a lot of pressure on the lever to slice the potatoes.

The HF one is garbage. We were unable to cut one potato before it fell to pieces. If you want a good one the commercial ones are the only way to got, but they are about $60.

I have this for 10+ years - still good and easy to work and clean! highly recommend! (you may have to cut large potatoes in half! !)
