Just went into Best Buy and they have the UN55B6000 on sale for $1999 and the UN46B7100 for $1499.99. Couple hundred dollars cheaper than online. Asked the sales associate and he said this is a nationwide promotion.

I just bought the Samsung 55-inch LED 240hz 8000 series at Best Buy B&M on Friday for $2499 as an early Xmas present for the husband. This is the best price I found for this TV. My husband is in heaven right now!

Sorry to hear about ur husband.. wish he stayed on earth to enjoy the tV little longer

Indeed - quite a tragedy. Should have bought the recommended mounting brackets instead of relying on duct tape and a bent clothes hanger... They're lighter than a tube monitor, but still heavy enough to be fatal if they fall on you.

good deal on this TV!

They have an open box of the UN46B7100 for $1299 near me. Is that a good deal or should I be weary of an open box? I'm afraid the previous owner did something or that it was a display or God knows what. Warranty does apply.

You should be fine as long as the warranty is still valid. Just look over the TV to make sure there are no scratches, etc.

A couple of things....

Check out AVS Forum, they can tell you how to access the service menu to tell how many hours the tv has on it.It is easy and can be done with the remote.

I've had good luck going in on the Saturday/Sunday after Black Friday and bargaining with them. They have such a huge cash influx that Fri-Sunday it is easier for them them to hide their "losses". I've got some good deals doing this...in fact the BB manager suggested it. As always YMMV depending on your market.

I like the Sat and Sun suggestion, thank you.

This TV was $1969 at Amazon a short while ago, and that's with no tax. Might be worth it to hold out a bit more...

Did you mean, that u were able to bargain on the Open Box items to increase discounts? or Bargain on shelf prices? Also, can you elaborate on the kind of products you bargained on? Was a TV ever included?

The BB employees today made it clear to me that they have no power over the open box prices.

Open box. Of course the employees don't have any say, it's Best Buy....you need to talk to the department supervisor or one of the store managers. I buy enough stuff that I know several of the managers. Last year I bought an open box Samsung 46A850 LCD TV marked at $1700 for $1100 the Saturday after Thanksgiving. They want all of the open box items out of the store so they can show the new stuff for Christmas. Like I said, it works in the market I'm in but there is no guarantee it will work for you.

So technically this is a better deal than the 1599 46" Samsung LED they're selling on black friday (better meaning I don't freeze my patootie off)?

I'd be a sweet deal, I haven't seen anyone else confirm the pricing shown... I may run over to Best Buy this afternoon.

Amazon has the Samsung 55" B8000 for $2,745. Although, it was $2,500 a month ago. You have to add it to your cart to see the price. They also have the 3 years 0% financing back again. I'm holding out for the B8500 to drop below $3K.

I bought the Samsung 55" B8500 with free BD-1600 Blue Ray for $3100 delivered two weeks ago and it also kicks butt. I just have an issue with the remote not be a programmable universal remote. Programming the Comcast remote with Samsung TV remote code was short one digit.

Before I head down there during lunch, anyone know if just these samsung models are on sale or all most/all of them?

There are more on sale. Prices vary.

I bought the 55" and 46" 240hrz a few weeks ago, the picture and clarity is incredible. You will not be disappointed. The $1999 above is the 1st time i've seen it under $2k.

I bought the Samsung 55" B8000 last Sat at Amazon for $2,519. There was a $500 promotion discount. It is schedule to be delivered on Wed.

Thanks. I'll stop by BB after work. Hope they have good price for the LN46B750.

I get bb to go down on prices all the time i just purchased a tv stand that was on sale for 319 they gave it to me for 269. I was also getting some other stuff but if you ask you shall get.

Well, the OP pointed out the 2 best markdowns, which ironically my local store didn't even have on display. The UN46B8000 was only down to $1999 (from $2200 or so), which is the one I have my eye on.

LED's are still at very high price range (I purchased a HITACHI 51" HD-Ready Projection TV for $3000 back to 2001, I learned a lesson from there.) If you really want a high quality big screen TV, 120Hz LCD is a good choice. it only costs half the price of LED. After two/three years, you can use another half price to get LED then.

I can confirm that last night I brought the 46inch for 1499. Thanks.....Florida!!

i got the 46 LED 7100 for under 1600 including a 4 year warranty, a samsung blue ray player and 3 blu-ray movies @ Best Buy.

though in principle i agree with this, it's pretty hard to find a 55 inch 120hz lcd for 999, half the price of this.

I got exactly that...the LG 55LH40 for about $750 or so during a Best Buy private sale (reward zone). I know this deal is not duplicated by most, but perhaps folks can check out the website (www.myrz.com) for a private sale near them.
