Cooks Illustrated #1 rated knife.. You can find it for around $20.. I also have the pairing knife ($8). I like both and have them in my summer kitchen downstairs.
$50 for this entire set is a good deal if you want the 2 other knives and need a steel. If not buy the chef knife and save yourself $30.
