I use playon to stream Hulu to my tv through my xbox. For this purpose, it works terrifically. Really good quality stream. This price is half of what they used to charge, and although it needs to be constantly updated, it really is worth it.

Using the Netflix disc on my PS3 has been far superior to when I was using PlayOn. And, don't forget about PS3 Media Server.
They always seem to have a discount code for every occasions, so it's almost a normal price. I been using it to stream to my kids' Wii-been happy with it.

I'm a real fatwallet user and I use playon on both my xbox and ps3 - I don't use it for Netflix since xbox does that well enough - but it works great for hulu and cbs.com - well worth $20 - I paid $40 a few months back. they are updating the product and really trying to improve it. they have a 14 day trial I think - that lets you try it for free. Hoping they can add support for abc and the premium services like nba.com league pass

anyone know if playon supports streamtorrent? i havent seen anything that'll let me watch free live NFL on TV. so far can only play live nfl w/ streamtorrent on my computer.
Remember that Hulu plans to start charging for content early next year. They'll likely have to start encrypting streams in order to do so, which will break PlayOn. I bought PlayOn and it works great for my PS3, but with the official Netflix solution and Hulu shutting down free streams, I think that its time is unfortunately limited. I'd take that into account when considering to purchase. They're also discussing charging a full license fee for a major upgrade in the very near future, at which point the old version will be no longer supported.
It's a great program, but there's some risk to purchasing now.

I didn't think I would get flack for going out of my way to sign up to say thanks. There seems to be a bit of negativity around what I consider to be a bargain. I don't want to drop a couple hundred bucks for a game station, so if I can get a working alternative for half price, I'm all for it and grateful.
Thanks again to the poster for providing the code and saving me some money
I have to say this is a crappiest product I have ever used. Even uninstall of the product is worst complains of no E drive.

Well I am a new member but I wanted to comment of whether you can stream live events using Play On. You can use a script from playonscripts.com to get Justin.tv which has streaming sports. I watch every UFC pay per view for free.

Can you fastforward or rewind? Whenever I tried to fast forward on hulu, it would skip ahead a few minutes after I pressed play again, even if I'd only tried to fastforward a few seconds.

Damn bro, that's a harsh judgment on me. Thanks for adding positively to the thread which is about PlayOn and not about the morals of downloading media. If you don't like saving a couple of bucks in this economy, then please just go join the Microsoft forums and post there.
