* 12 Amp electric blower/vacuum provides power and versatility to tackle every clean-up chore * Leaf shredder reduces 16 bags of leaves to 1 bag * Rugged metal impeller and infinite variable speed motor * Exclusive cord-lock system holds power cord firmly in place * Powerful handheld blower delivers up to 235 mph of air flow
I have the non-continuously variable version of this with a plastic impeller. I love it. I never use it as a vacuum though, it might be less trouble if I did so.
This is a really good price compared to the $70 I paid two years ago at Amazon. Well-built, much sturdier than the 'disposable' all-plastic units. I love mine and use it as a vac on a regular basis; it gets addictive, because there's that sensory feedback of furious destruction when items hit that steel impeller. You find yourself looking for 'hard to digest' targets.
There's an auxiliary 'mass pickup' kit with a flexible hose and an elastic cover to use an entire garbage can instead of the included cloth pickup bag. This kit is pure frustration. Stick with the basic unit.

This blower is awesome. I've always had gas blowers, but after doing research decided to give this model a try and I'm glad I did. I've never had a more powerful blower. And the ability to plug it in and twist the knob for instant max power is great. It is easily more powerful than any gas blower I've owned. It's just as loud, but that's to be expected when using yard tools I guess. The only thing that really takes some getting used to is having the cord attached. It can be annoying when the cord gets tangled, but you get used to maneuvering with it. Make sure to get a good 50 ft. or 100 ft. heavy duty extension cord. And read the reviews about the metal impeller and mulching. There is no comparison.
If you need a blower, don't hesitate at this price. This is the one to have.
Yeah, the one in special offer. I actually have both. I like the blower very much. That accessory can cover is okay. You have to make sure that you have a trashcan with a lip that is all the way around so that the cord can tighten around it snugly. The blower is very powerful, and so it is easy for the cover to blow off the trashcan (I use a regular cylinder Rubbermaid from HD) if not fastened tightly. I think it's faster to use my rake to shovel up my leaves from a pile into a trashcan, but I like to make mulch out of the leaves, hence the extra attachment. Also, if you are mulching leaves, a filter mask is not a bad idea, a lot of very fine dust is made. Fortunately, I'm not allergic to fall leaves.
