These guys are crooks. I registered a bunch of domain names with them and they did unauthorized charges to my credit card. On one occassion I registered 10 domain names and they sent me a receipt saying they would charge me 10 X $4.9500 = 49.50. Then about a week later I saw a suspicious charge on my credit card. They had charged my card another $25.00. I wrote them asking why and they wrote me back a pissy email saying there was a limit of 5 domain names at the $4.95 so they charged my card (without notifying me) another $25.00. I don't have a problem with the 5 domain limit but it did not say that any where that I could find and they processed all 10 at the $4.95 price and my receipt said that total. They never emailed me or notified me about the additional charges. Just charged my card. If I would not have checked my bank statement I would never have known. When I told them about this they were rude and pissy. I RECCOMEND NEVER DOING BUSIINESS WITH THESE THIEVES. AT ANY PRICE! Email me if you have any questions about this posting ftnw@comcast.net
I've been using Netfirms for over a year and own 20+ domain names. I really like their service. You get free email forwarding and domain privacy. A bit cheaper than GoDaddy.
Yeah, I've used Netfirms for a couple years and haven't had any problems. Most their specials do have 5 domain limits so it shouldn't have been a surprise. GoDaddy may be a little cheaper with some of their specials, but Netfirms' free domain privacy usually trumps GoDaddy's best offer + paid privacy.
