to hrbanana - I've had both the Sonicare and this one, I had this set as an alert to get one for my son for Christmas (also not exciting, but hey...). I much prefer this one, it's lighter and easy to maneuver, portable if you want to take it to travel and has a small head that fits well in all areas of the mouth. It comes with an inter changeable cleaning head for in between teeth and the replacement brushes are much cheaper than Sonicare. For sure try it at this price, I paid more for my first one.
nhenny2005 / claire_boston, thx for the comments. I'll definitely consider it when the sonicare bites the dust. I agree, the cost of the s/c brush heads are outrageous..although I don't believe I've had a new cavity since I started using the s/c a few years ago.
