i ordered a laptop from them last week, it was in stock...4 days later no update, I call...'backordered'...I said why did it say 'being prepared for shipment' in the online status? she said no its not...the stupid pos changed the status while I was on the phone.
I agree with all the comments so far. OM is one of only four (4) stores that I usually stop at on during my BF spree. NOT THIS YEAR. OM can bite the big one. With so much competition from Staples and OD I cannot believe how badly they are being managed.
THEY HYPED ,threw legal dept etc...... at this SALE??? WHY???? AS In MOST ALL BF ads .the word BF IS NOW GENERIC AND everyone ELSE are the lemmings falling for this ABUSE OF WHAT BF USED TO MEAN!!! .... fw'ers will finally enjoy peaceful sleep.....

I have always liked OD for purchasing clearance desk top computers
it is a bit ridiculous for them to expect us to give an email address for the BF stuff when it is obviously already out on the net --- shows that there are lot of people in business that just don't get it

I first heard about FW while in line at OM on BF 2002. Back then OM had some deals (even during the year with the FAR stuff). Now OM Sucks royal crap! Haven't been in their stores in over 2 to 3 years. I shop at Staples!
Hopefully this will push OM over the top and they will close their worthless business!
Also, wasn't it funny how they had the FAKE ad with the $149 Acer Netbook a few weeks ago and threw the legal department at it. Of course I saved the ad as soon as it was posted because I knew that it would be taken down.

Disappointing is putting it mildly. Anyway, I still give OP green just for great effort and title. I hope folks will really believe your heading (I didn't, just have to see for myself) and don't waste their time looking.
That BF sale bites. Example: the Canon SD780 IS is $250. Thats $50 more than Newegg's regular price, and $70 more than OD's BF price. I thought they were going to have a 2Gb xD card on sale for $5?
Its truly sad. A few of my older 60GB, 80GB, 160GB and even 200GB IDE drives were sourced from OM due to the great rebates and $30 off $150 and some good BF pricing.
Since then, CC caught on and started running even hotter deals and then went under. I guess now its OM's turn as they hardly have any deals any more and the rare times they do have a deal, they claim screwups and not honor it. So long OM.

That's fine, just trying to funny (at OM's expense)...it is lost on some people. Maybe I'm just overly bitter about my lack of hard drives... I knew you were trying to be funny. Why else would I give you 2 greens.
I too am having withdrawals about the lack of my drives as well. But, that should give me an excuse the break open the 3x1TB I got at BB a few weeks back.
