I've been following the prices on Garmin Nuvi 765T for awhile. This unit has been selling between $249-$269 for the past few months. It seems a new base price has been set at around $219.99. However with some coupon, the price may be as low as $198 before tax. Here's a summary of the lowest prices I've seen.
The following sites all offer free shipping. Some charge tax, some don't, consult each website to see if they charge tax to your state.
Target has it brand new for $219.99. Link. Workingadvantage.com has a 10% off Target coupon which make the price $198 before tax. workinadvantage.com is not accessible by everyone, it's an employee benefit offered by my company. Consult your company HR to see if you have access. Free shipping.
Newegg has brand new at $219.99 as well. Link. Recertified is selling for $189.99. Link. Fatwallet 1% CashBack.
You can save another $10 on the Amazon one with the discover deal (pay be discover): "For a limited time, when you spend $50 or more on select items sold by Amazon.com in Apparel, Electronics, Software, Video Games, and Computers you will get $10 off when you pay with your Discover Card. This item qualifies."

You can also get the Garmin Nüvi 765T for $198 at CarToys.com. It is listed as $219.99, but CarToys.com is currently holding a promotion for 10% off if you use Amazon checkout. Shipping is free. Remember, you have to use Amazon checkout for the deal.
I jumped on this deal yesterday. CarToys.com is a seller on Amazon.com, so you can check out its reviews here.

Awesome find! Maybe I'll cancel my order from Target. While I did receive a 10% discount from Target via workingadvantage.com, but I have to pay NY tax which made my final price around $215.00. I just tried with Cartoys.com and check out via Amazon, no tax to NY. Don't think the Discover works here thought. Discover discount applies to items sold by Amazon.com.

Buy.com has it now at $209.99 (which Amazon has apparently matched). You should be able easily to find a new customer Buy.com $10 off coupon, bringing it to $199.99 less maybe 2% FatCash?

I brought mine for 219.99 also and the next day it shipped and the price dropped. I immediately e-mailed customer support and they denied my price match request.
e-mail said: Hello,
I'm sure it's disappointing to see the lower price on the Garmin nüvi 765/765T 4.3-Inch Bluetooth Portable GPS Navigator with Traffic you recently purchased. Our prices regularly change, and the price you paid when your order shipped on November 23 was the lowest price we were able to offer at the time.
We consistently offer competitive prices on everything we carry because we know low prices are very important to our customers. You can visit our pricing policies in our Help pages to read more:
While we don't always beat the best available price on every product, we do offer deep discounts on many thousands of items. From time to time, prices on some items will change due to special offers from suppliers and manufacturers or our inventory and sales volumes. When we can offer a lower price for new purchases we will, but we cannot extend these discounts to completed orders.
Although prices fluctuate, our service does not. I hope you'll give us another opportunity to serve you in the future.
Please let us know if this e-mail resolved your question:
So the range is 188.10 - 198.55. Just picked it up.
I think this is the way to go for this model
I've been comparing this and the 265wt and I think it's worth $30-40 more because this has :
3D lane assist multi-point routing FM transmitter to the car stereo multi-media features such as mp3 player Garmin Locate and it has a faster map frame rate
How are the refurbs on these, well packaged like-new or possibly missing pieces/scratched up screens?
BTW the 765t has far superior bluetooth handsfree signal processing so the quality is orders of magnitude better than the 265 model if this is a feature you plan to commonly use. Pair with a $30 noise reduction external mic (765t has a mic jack) to mount on your visor and you can't get any better mobile handsfree in the car.
It's at $199.99 today at Amazon. I ordered it yesterday (Sat.) at $209.99. It hadn't shipped yet, so I cancelled that order and re-ordered it today at the $199.99 price point.
