Just got an email notice of the price drop from price spider! Maybe not quite as compelling as the P54S1 deal going at Sears ($1099 - 10% Sears CC - 8% BCB = ~$910 + tax) but should be less hassle and is the best price I've seen for the 50S1 lately. You should be able to get 5% BCB on this too, so that would bring it down to $853.09 +tax ABCB. In general I like the next model up (G10/15) but at this price the S1 is hard to beat. Note that this is the current generation model, with native contrast rating of 40,000:1 vs. 30,000:1 on the older U1 sets featured in a number of recent deals. It also has an anti-reflective coating that I believe the older sets lack.
Below flowindex reports that BB may have 10% BCB on Friday, which would make this 808.19 + tax ABCB!

Details up now, sorry just wanted to get the word out before composing the whole post. I can't tell you how many times I've spent a half hour composing a post only to have someone else post the deal first
Good Set and a fair buy at this price. I got mine for 1k from Sears with 2% CB (I could have got 8 but messed up) + free Xbox Arcade. So for $850ish + tax I would recommend. One downside is that there are only 3 HDMI and NO VGA inputs. So if you need to output some VGA look for the VGA to HDMI converter box for around $40 on the bay. All in all the S1 is visual Bliss with the 2million to 1 contrast and dark movies now look good again and not all muddy! - Sorry LCD. Make sure to break this in - see the AVSforum for the DVD, Run it for 120 hours and you should have no worry on burn in, you will notice image retention from time to time but it goes when new content is shown (just notice when it was showing a static image and goes to a black screen).

Thanks! I had been looking at this TV and was glad to see a good price without needing to fight the crowds on Friday. Printed out the price from Best Buy and got the price matched at Sears.
Thanks OP... Just pulled the trigger on this. Got in using a 10% Bing link, let's hope it shows up. How long have people been waiting for Bing CB to show up in their accounts, BTW?
This offer is dead... I've wasted about 2-3 hours on hold the last couple days trying to schedule delivery, they basically don't have these TVs and cancelled my order "at my request." LOL
