I was just about to head to a WalMart in a bad neighborhood 30 mins away to score one of the last Vizio 26 inchers in the state when...I decided to wait out a rainstorm at my local costco.

Low and behold, the same damn tv I was going out there for was just marked down by $80!!! that puts it at $247, $1 less than WalMart PLUS Costco has a 2 year warranty and if you use an AMEX it is a 3 year warranty...plus no hassel 90 day return.

Here is a link to it online: http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11304633&search...

I just called my local Costco and they confirmed having 14 available at that price. My friend, I think that you just helped me end my BF shopping. They close at 8:30 so I'm on my way there now.

yea I got this as a gift...I'm tempted to get one for myself but I don't really need it...I'm sure you guys will swoop up every one of them in the country. I'm not stepping a foot out of the house for BF

how does the picture quality on this compare to the 26" Sony/Panasonic?

How does this compare to Sceptre 24" HDTV @ Costco?

24" vs 26"
1080p vs 720p
$230 vs $250

Any comment?

I hope you didn't buy that. The sceptre is very poor quality...and is just one of their crappy 24" monitors with a slow hd tuner built in. The bezel quality is bad, the osd are old school...the 1080p is nice but if it is only for a tv it is useless at that size....if you are using it as a monitor as well you will want 1080p but the sceptre is such low quality please stay away...especially when there are 24" 1080p lcdtv/monitors going for $200 that are slightly better quality.

Vizio quality is just under LG but their price is just above the sceptre/proscan bottom barrel stuff...so it is their brand is often the best deal in almost every size since they have all the features of the high end brands (Vizio has more sales than any other manufacturer due to this equation of high quality/low cost/high volume)

I was holding out this year on BF unless I saw a perfect TV for my bedroom to pick up. Well, I found it... can't beat the price, esp. with a 2 year warranty. Picked it up for about $280 (with tax included). Great deal!

get the 32 inch from Target for $248

Would love to if that price was available for more than one day, 200 people were not going to be fighting each other for the 5 TVs per store (I don't know the exact # but you get my point), if it were a better brand, and if it had an extended warranty. Few people are likely to get in on that one. It is nice that Target has a 90 day return period too but that's about it IMHO.
