Pacific Sales will tell you they don't quote prices on the phone, but if you tell them you're buying a gift and name the item, they will very courteously quote you prices. The KDL52W5100 with the S560 blu-ray player is also on sale for $1297. It has the Bravia 3 engine, I believe.

This seems like a really good deal for an XBR9 + nice receiver, even though it's more than I was looking to spend on an HDTV. Now. if they were offering a PS3 instead of the BD player, I'd have to bite without hesitation!
My local paper, OC Register, (CA) shows 52Z5100 + receiver + Blu-ray player = $1,869. Opens @ 9AM. No mention of the XBR. But very little difference between the Z and XBR.

Dishwasher was model #DU930PWSS $198. They still had about six on the floor in San Juan Capistrano, CA. They might still honor the price until they are gone?
