I searched for this but couldn't find it in the Amazon BF Week Post here on FW. Sorry if repost and I just missed it...this is my first OP so be gentle.
Not sure of the price just yet, but it will be active @ 12PM CST. This is your heads up just in case the deal is "hot". Also, I should mention that this deal does not start until 12PM CST...I've mentioned that several times so I'm just waiting for the first post that wonders where the discount is...
I'll update the post as soon as the price is know I'm hoping for sub $1G..I'll buy one for sure then...also qualifies for $10 discover card discount.
5 minutes? yesterday's HP g71 sold out in < 10 seconds. whoever is interested, you should have the page and product preloaded, watch the timer down to 0, and click add to cart immediately. buy now, think later.

well from the sounds of it, I may not have time to update the OP if that is the case.
Apple's outlet has the 13" MacBook Pro for under a thou with free shipping too. http://store.Apple.com/us/product/FB990LL/A?mco=MTA4MzIzMzA (But Amazon doesn't charge tax here in CA, so if it's under 1k, good deal.)
It's not being teased at all on their normal lightning deals (Goldbox) page. How did you hear about this?
yah i wouldn't worry too much about updating your post. be logged in and have CC saved. 12 minutes. GO!

Shouldn't you try refreshing the product page to get the new price before you click buy now?

should we refresh the product page when the timer reaches 0 to get the new price before buying now or just go for it?
12% off $1199 is about what I was expecting. I'm surprised it's more than 10% off with Apple's strict pricing policy (at least it seems to be that way).
Not hot at all. You can get this as a refurb at the Apple Store for $999 -- which is essentially new and carries the same one-year factory warranty from Apple.
Post-Macworld, in January, prices on these will drop even further...

I think you might be forgetting about taxes. Some people don't get charged tax @ Amazon...also the OP did not know what the price was going to be.

Plus tax.....most people would pay more for a refurb this way. It was a hot deal...and thus the reason it sold out so quickly.
The iMac will probably be the same later....apple stuff is rarely discounted.

Judging by the speed at which it sold out in comparison to the luke-warmness of the actual deal and the fact that its Thanksgiving and not Black Friday...it appears we can expect an online Black Friday will be as fruitless as a BM Black Friday, but at least without the pneumonia, lost gas, and extra time.

Post-Macworld, in January, prices on these will drop even further... when is the macword in january and are you hinting at lower prices for these then?
