Not sure if I should be posting this in this forum or over in the Cyber Monday one (mods please move as needed). Please see screenshot of email for details. Pimsleur is advertising 50% off any of their products on www.pimsleur.com Sales started today and runs until Monday 11/30.
PS: My purchase didn't qualify for free shipping. Seems like the 50% off automatically cancels their site's free shipping offer. Shipping was $4.99. Has anyone tried their Dora & Diego Spanish course for kids? It was the first time I saw a Pimsleur for kids program.
I haven't used Pimsleur myself (but will now) but my Military and diplomatic friends all swear by it - supposedly far better than the Rosetta Stone ones mass marketed in airports and such. Thanks OP - no excuse for not getting a head start on my New Year's resolution to learn another language.

These are great tapes, and purchasing them obviously gets you an unrestricted version. If you want to see if they work for you, many local libraries offer them as a download that runs in Windows Media Player with a license that's good for two weeks.
Pimsleur is great. I purchased Mandarin for Rosetta Stone, but had so much difficulty retaining anything I learned. I used Pimsleur, and it worked so much better. I listen to it every day during my commute and have kept up with the language quite nicely despite how difficult it is.
You're welcome guys. I've tried a bunch of methods and Pimsleur is really the best to start with imo. It provides a solid bedrock to build your studies on and unlike so many methods on the market, it focuses on normal conversational speech to get you started.
PS: geezlouise, don't even get me started on Rosetta. Such a joke of a product but hey, they’ve got the ads/infomercials in your face 24/7 so it must work, right?

Seems like new off Amazon from marketplace sellers is still cheaper.

That's not a consistent statement across the board. Seems like some Marketplace dealers give a better deal on popular language level I courses but then they get you with higher level II and III prices. Furthermore some languages are not even available on Amazon or are just simply more expensive than this offer. Worth cross-checking nevertheless!

I STILL haven't received mine, even though it was 'shipped by UPS' almost a month ago (though they won't give me any tracking info). My email hasn't been replied to, when I called they said they'd escalate it and have someone get back to me, but still haven't.
Listen, I love pimsleur and was very happy to use this coupon to get the more advanced set that I wouldn't have been able to afford otherwise, but their fulfillment really really sucks.
Has anyone else that used this coupon gotten their stuff yet?
