Thanks OP - that's a little more than 3 cents per minute. FYI - the cards are good for any phone, and they will transfer an existing Net 10 number to a new phone (with the 300 minutes) for free.
I'm thinking about getting a cell phone for a low usage person. With Net10 , it seems you have to top up every 60 days, what is the minimum topup amount? and do the minutes that you still have get a new expiration date?
Just trying to figure out how to maximize a Net10 service with the least monthly cost.
EDIT: $5 off promo code doesn't seem to be working

For low usage, you'd be ahead with Tracfone. Net10 is for the medium user.

Thanks. Out of curiosity, how much would the Net10 minimum monthly cost work out?
Be sure to weigh out the deals on this phone with a card. $32 for 2, 300 minute phones and 200 minute/30 day cards - OR - $22 for a 300 minute phone and a 300 minute/60 day card. Would make a big difference if you keep one half and sell the other.

If you do the other deal with 600 minutes, you'd be at $5.50/month plus sales tax. That is figuring $22 for the phone (good for 2 months and 300 rollover minutes) plus a 300 minute/2 month rollover card. That's 4 months, 600 minutes for $22 + tax. Not bad, and I have to take back my Tracfone recommendation OVER Net10 as the 600 minute deal works out pretty good - and the phone is decent.
BTW this deal is 6 months, 1000 minutes for $32 plus tax (slightly cheaper) but with the luck of the draw over keeping your number as TracFone/Net10 's on-line system is screwy at best.

Actually, this is a very good deal. However, you forgot to mention that the 200 minute cards add an extra 30 days to your phone as well =] Also, add code(s): 88121, 88122, 88123, 88124, and (or) 88125. For a free universal kit up to 5 (1 code each) Thanks OP!
Lost in the discussion is the 18% FW CB. While some are mentioning it for the 600-minute, it also applies to the 500-minute phone. So net cost is $32 + tax - $5.76; or $26.24 + tax on $32 Six months, 1000 minutes, ~$4.50 per month, ~166 minutes per month, ~2.8c per minute

Well I guess I'll answer my own question. I choose 3 day Fedex for $4.95, and on the submit page $4.95 was subtracted. All's well that ends well, except I had to pay $3+ sales tax.
I clicked the OP's Net10 .com link, got a box that asked for the zip code I'm using the telephone at and a big list of phones came up that would work, including the LG300. Give your zipcode a try.
although this has its own dedicated thread already that has been around for awhile, I'd say it is worth mentioning again for those who may have missed the deal the first time it hit the "hot threads" page.
I will be curious to see if they change the deal for 2010.
(updated quick summary) You have 3 options to choose from: LG300 w/ 300 mins 200 min card (30 days) - $17 LG300 w/ 300 mins 300 min card (60 days) - $22 LG300 w/ 300 mins x 2 200 min card (30 days) - $32 (plus tax on all)
dangit... I have nothing but problems ordering from Net10 . I consistently get the "Your order could not be completed due to authorization problems" error. If I call my bank, they say it was successful. After a few days, the pre-auth drops off... but I never get my phone.
grrrr...

Can you stock the phone until you need to activate it? For example, 6 months from today. The T&C says minutes expire in 60 days _upon_ activation.

At Rite Aid this week they have a Net10 phone for $24.99. The ad says 300 minutes included then there's a circle next to the picture of the phone that says 300 bonus minutes. So if I'm understanding this correctly you are getting 600 minutes. Might be nice if you don't want to wait for an online order.
If you go HERE and enter your zip code it will bring up this weeks ad. The phone is on page 10 at the bottom.
This deal has 300 + 300 + 300 bonus + 200 bonus = 1100 minutes for $32, which comes out to 2.9 cents/min The other deal has 300 + 300 bonus = 600 for $22, which comes out to 3.7 cents/min
right?

You can get cheaper per minute price here and only requires purchasing one phone with 600 total minute.

that is correct. the only disadvantage is the 200 mins cards are only 30 days instead of 60
No, not correct. This deal is 1000 minutes, not 1100. The other deal is $18, not $22.

Since Jan 5, 10, I have not been able to buy any of these deals with or without the prmotion codes from Net10 . I have tried twice each day via FatWallet and received a problem error message from Net10 when the order has completed processing. Is anyone esle able to buy these deals with the codes 44477, 34567 and/or 88121 successfully? Any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong? I've tried on several different computers in several different locations. Any update would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
I just completed another 2 orders with the promo codes without any problems.

I ordered two phones through FatWallet and received a confirmation page. The funds were also taken from my credit card so I know it went through. All 3 codes worked for me!
When adding the 200min/30 day card, does it add 30 days to the remaining number of days currently on the phone?
For example: if I have 45 days left on my phone and activate one of these cards, does my phone now have 75 days of service? Or does it still have 45 days?
edit: found the answer myself. It adds to your remaining minutes.

Just activated one of these phones and it was a minor nightmare. First I tried to port a number over from a previous Net10 phone but that didn't work so I gave up and just activated it with a new number. Problem was that it didn't give me the 300 minutes/60 days, just the 200 minute card. Tried calling customer service, spoke with 3-4 different people and after about an hour, was still on hold and no one came back on the line for 20 minutes or more so I hung up. So I called back and tried it again. The first time they had refused because the phone had been activated in 09, but this was a refurbed phone and I had to give them my order number to show them that I ordered it a week ago. They normally seem to have a script that asks you to wait 2-3 minutes which is really annoying because if it's 20 minutes, they ask that 10 times before you get transferred to someone else again. After about 20 minutes it sound like they got the right order number and they were going to put the minutes back on the phone, but it actually took another 30-40 minutes before it finally showed up all the while I was on the phone and being told it was just going to be another minute or two. So after about two hours, got it all straightened out. Almost not worth it, but still worth doing for the principle of it. There's another longer thread here with other stories like this.
Better not sit too long on these phones if you have a problem. My suggest is to do a plain vanilla activation online and use google voice.
AishaDad said: I wouldn't have added the 200 minute card until I had the 300 minutes on the phone.
Yes, I didn't want to add the card, but it wouldn't let me activate the phone without a card number. I guess I should have stopped at that point and called. I had thought that maybe I had to add the 200 minute card now and then the 300 would show up, but of course it didn't.

anyone having trouble adding the free universal accessories kit? It keeps telling me "- Promotional code 88125 does not qualify for your current order."
