I got this from BeerGod over at AT...

I'm not sure of the validity of this website...http://www.missingmoney.com/...also check to see if your State is included.

But, for NY folks check the NY Comptroller office Link

For other States you might want to check your comptroller office..It's a simple search on google with keywords: "unclaimed funds" and the name of your State.

I didn't find anything for my family...but did find some unclaimed funds of my friends...

It works. NY has a 9 month backlog before it even looks at your claim.

You can also use http://www.unclaimed.org to check as well. I found several friends that had money that was unclaimed and let them know.

Excellent Information!!! I was contemplating wether to pay a company to find some cash for one of my relatives. But now I see that I don't have to! Great Job!
