How does it work? Do I have to buy them individually? When it says for "$1.99", is that for all the pieces listed? Thanks for anyone who can give me an answer. I am very interested.

When you buy the album, you get all 99 tracks for $1.99... it's a *whale* of a deal.
If you like classical music, also search Amazon for "99 essential" and you'll find many others for about $5 for 99 tracks.

WTF?? No Nocturne no. 20 in C Sharp Minor = Fail.
Edit: It's piece #17 in the album. They mislabeled lol.
BTW, the quality is pretty terrible. Most pieces sound tiny. It's like they recorded with a computer mic or something. You guys should save your $2 and download a torrent somewhere.

Yup... same problem... it's like we got the preview MP3 instead of the whole piece.

Sweet! I just emailed Amazon about this issue and here's the response:
Hello,
I checked out "The 99 Most Essential Chopin Masterpieces (Amazon Exclusive)" by Various Artists and confirmed there's a problem with that file. I've issued a full refund of $1.99 to the payment method used for the original purchase. Refunds are typically completed within 2 to 3 business days.
I've also alerted our technicians of the problem so it can be corrected as soon as possible. If you are still interested in purchasing a working copy of this song, you may wish to visit the Amazon MP3 Store again in a few days and see if a corrected version is available.
I'm sorry for the trouble you had with this file.
We look forward to seeing you again soon at the Amazon MP3 Music Store.
Figures. I have been waiting on this one since the tchaikovsky (sp?) sale and they do it while I am out of town without wifi. I need an iPhone app that can download Amazon music purchases directly. Time to go wardriving with the laptop.
Well, track not fixed as of midnight Central. I wonder if I'll get the refund email automatically, like last time?

Agreed. It is a great deal if you are just getting into Chopin or into classical music but the artists and recordings are standard at best. (how else would they be able to sell it at such a low price?) Although we are talking about MP3's here so the sound quality has its limits no matter who is tickling the ivories.
Also, many other Cheap/free downloads: I Love the 80's for example.
I'll sneak this in here...heads up for Brahms' 99 Most Essential which went live yesterday for 6.99. If it follows the others, it may be up on sale soon.
