I am getting so fed up with the way Kohls increases their prices for their "sales" ... ordered 10 polo shirts last week and after the 20% off coupon, they were $4.32 each. Now with this new "big" sale ... the same polos will be $6.30. JMHO ... but that's bordering on deceptive.

Email their corporate. We can't help you, and, yes, I, too, am fed-up with their random increases and changes in my cart...
Here is a scan of the 30% off for Kohl's Charge holders, in case you want to use it in store. You can usually use a picture on your cell phone. 30% off scan - thanks TheMoreYouKnow
I am sure Kohls does this everywhere, but here in Sacramento our local TV consumer reporter CALL CURTIS - investigated that Kohls increase the price of items before a sale. A local woman had assumed she found a great deal on 1 mil count sheet set for 99.00 dollars. The price was marked down from 139.00. But when she got home, she found another Kohl's tag that this item was 69.00 dollars. So, she should of gotten these sheets for less than 69.00 on sale. When speaking to Kohl's sales people, they said - This is done all the time. This is Actually Illegal in California..but many stores do this. If you shop around, you can find items Kohls advertises for much less .. but not at Kohls. The TV reporter bought several items in different departments and found the same as the woman had. Many items had other tags for cheaper prices. Kohls TAGS. You decide.

I haven't seen any emails lately with doorbusters, but I will post here when I do. You might sign up for Kohls promo emails, as they are usually announced in email a few days before.

I'm getting frustrated with Kohls raising their clearance prices as soon as the 30% off coupon comes out. Take this suit for example (no judging). The jacket was $58 last week -20% off coupon for $46.40. This week, it's $66 -30%.... or $46.40.
I mean, I understand that clearance prices can fluctuate... but that's pretty blatant.

Kohls sticker prices are list price (unless it is on clearance), which is notoriously high and no one in their right mind should pay. If a price lower than the sale price was on the item, then it seems like it was somehow stickered wrong or the sale price was in the wrong place. I've never run into this at my local stores.
BTW at my store today I noticed that they now have electronic sale signs that are controlled electronically. An interesting idea, and it allows them to avoid having employees walk around the store to change sale prices, but they were not very easy to read.
This is what most stores like Macy's, Kohl's, etc. do:
Say, for example, an item has a regular stickered price of $100, and the store wishes to sell it for ~$50. Other than the days when they have no sale, they can offer it as:
- B1G1 Free (pay $100 for 2, each $50) - 50% off (pay $50 for one) - 30% off, plus take an extra 30% off (pay $49) - 40% off, plus take an extra 15% off (pay $51) - $40 off, plus take an extra 15% off (pay $51) - $25 off, plus take an extra 33% off (pay $50.25) - 25% off, plus take an extra 20% off, plus get $10 for every $50 (pay $60, get $10, net ~$50) - B2G1 Free, plus get $10 for every $40 (pay $200 for 3, get $50, net ~$50 for one)
Or variations of the above. Whatever works! If it was the same promotion week after week, even the innocent among us would wise up.
Of course, Kohl's plays around with this a little bit more than the others. Because they have tiered discounts for different customers, 15%-30%, many FWers are able to game the system and take advantage. There will always be those that buy at full price, and help the cause. Or spend $97, and get only $10 KCash. Or are happy using the 15% off coupon. Or use the coupon on items that are not on sale. Or....

Interesting stuff... and I would definitely double check the items for multiple "original prices" after watching this.
I know their prices pretty well I the things I like there. Their mens casual shirts usually run big unless they're marc anthony. axis jeans and apt 9 stuff I like. Walking shoes/sneakers NB for around 30 bucks net. Not bad. Zippered hoodies from sonoma 14 bucks. Good quality, last long. No complaints here.
