I have! But that's the price you pay.

Anyone have any luck matching prices? If not, what's the best way to make sure I'm the first when they mark these down? There seems to be a science to it that I'm missing as pretty much everything was already gone when I got there (or not marked down yet).

Thanks!

I don't think you will have much luck price matching with another store.

The best way to make sure that you are the first there when they mark down the prices is to visit the Target stores in your area frequently. Years ago I could count on markdowns happening per the markdown schedule in the quick summary section at the beginning of this thread and if I was there first thing in the morning I had my pick of what I wanted. These days markdowns happen throughout the day and they don't always follow the markdown schedule. The "science" part of this is to get a feel for when markdowns happen at your Target and keeping an eye on anything you are interested in. This thread is a great "heads-up" on clearance items, but as you note some items are long gone by the time I read about it on here, others never get marked down that I see, and still others are not stocked in my area.

Last week I was watching camping gear and checked one morning that it was still 50% off. No one was working in the aisle. Next morning it was wiped out but for a few items marked 75% off. I was told it was marked down the previous day. I pass Target when I'm running errands and usually stop in a couple times a week to browse. As much as I like a good deal, I'm not up for driving there a couple times a day.

Best of luck in your bargain hunting.

I had read in one of the previous threads to use the trick of switching your credit card for a previous purchase in case you had already bought the item for a higher price earlier.

I was successful in doing this for a 140S tomtom gps. I had bought it for $169 or so and it was clearanced at $49 in other parts of the country. Finally when it went to $49 in my store, they wouldnt price match. So I went to another store and told them I would like to switch by card on the previous purchase. They gladly returned the item $169 and I ended up paying for the item with the new lower price of $49. The lady didnt realize what happened but I was glad she didnt complain.

Goodluck.

Kind of weird, but I saw on a table in the new bulk warehouse section of the store a table with clothing marked 50% off. The strange thing is that the clothes were Ed Hardy, Roxy, and Men's Ashworth and Callaway Golf Shirts, none of which I have ever seen before. Ed Hardy tee's were marked down to $24.xx and the golf shirts were about $17.xx. Not sure if this is local or regional for these brands, but check your store if interested. This was in Central NJ.

I saw the same thing in Edgewater, NJ. I heard 2 employees talk about the great price for an Ed Hardy, so walked over to find out what they were talking about and it turns out to be these shirts....so I just kept walking.

DCPI: 008-06-1055 and link for the Vizio Blu Ray dvd player.

I also scored one but not before having the associate working in the electronics department attempt to pull a fast one. After I found the one player they had in store, I asked the associate to scan the price because it had so many bar codes, I didn't know which one to use for the self-scanner. The associate scanned it and mouthed the price but didn't speak it out loud and claimed it had the wrong bar code on it. He tried to say the bar code was for a DVD player not the Blu Ray player, attempted to pull off the bar code that he had just scanned, then claimed it was no longer available for sale since "it wasn't showing up in their system" even though it was still on the shelf. I argued that if that was the case then why was it still for sale on their website and produced a copy of the page I linked above and asked him that I wanted to speak with his manager. He spoke with his manager over the two-way radio and the manager told him to go ahead and sell it to me. It rang up for $75. I would have purchased the 42" Magnavox that was on sale but $499, but I was too fed up with the hassle over the blu ray dvd player.

Does anyone know the dcpi for this drive?

The DPCI for that 500GB Seagate is 080 00 0049. The price is not interesting.

Thank you so much!

Because the recall was from 2007?

The recalled bicycles are the Triax PK7 (model 8509-24) and Vertical PK7 (model 8596-71T) 20-inch aluminum cushion framed bicycles sold exclusively at Target stores. The Triax model was manufactured between October 2005 and May 2006, and the Vertical model was manufactured between August 2004 and December 2004.

They haven't had these specific bikes sitting in their store since (at the very least) May 2006. They sent back the bad ones and got new ones. These were produced after the issues were fixed.

Just got back from my local store, and the Seagate 500gb hard drive is back to full price, very strange since just yesterday they had clearance stickers on them. I'm disapointed because I really need a drive.

Target clears out year old models every Winter to allow for NEW bicycles to be stocked for Spring. I too bought the Triax 20" bike model PK7 mountain bike but it was manufactured 08/22/2009 so well AFTER the recall dates. The Triax models effected were manufactured between October 2005 and May 2006 to be effect. So check the label on the bike but I'm sure you won't have to worry.

Factory recommend once a month. so for normal usage it should be around 2-3 months. they always suggest consumer to change as often
