No. it does not have 900 frequency.

No. it does not have 900 frequency.

1800 MHz is supported in many countries.

I hope you read thru the article.. This is what it says
"In Europe most providers use 900 MHz and 1800 MHz bands. GSM-900 is most widely used. Fewer operators use DCS-1800 and GSM-1800. A dual-band 900/1800 phone is required to be compatible with almost all operators. At least GSM-900 band must be supported to be compatible with many operators."

By the way, in most countries GSM900 is used for receivign packets and GSM1800 is used to send opackets. So, i fyou don't have GSM900, don't consider it as an international phone.

What's T-Mobile's policy for prepaid phone purchase? I tried to order this phone but the order could not be completed. They won't give me a reason. Instead, you just say go to local store.

OK, I will edit myself: works in Russia (I had tri-band phone with same frequencies before and it worked perfect). Might pick one as a gift for my cousin!

Call them up, they will usually release it. They have limits as to how many you can buy in a certain period of time.

I did, but did not work.

I remember someone said we can only order 2 or 4 phones per three months. I checked my Bing account, my last order was last Aug. What makes me angry is that they refuse to tell me the exact problem. If they said it's their policy, I would be fine with that. But they just said they refuse to sell me the phone to "protect you".

What reason did they give?

They refuse to give me the exact reason. I have been with T-Mobile even since they enter US market. It is the 1st time I feel angry about their service. Maybe it is the time to cancel my two lines and find a new provider.

1-prepaid phone every 6 months. T-Mobile isn't any happier about it than you are. Same issues with AT&T prepaid.
Its a mandated requirement of a little thing you may have heard of called the "Patriot Act".

In for 1 - thanks.

Would you be able to use this phone if you currently have Tmobile and just swap out the sims card with you old Tmobile phone?

Yup.

Thanks a lot

As ab2pk said, it is a domestic (US) tri-band phone. Without 900 Mhz, not much of use, but good spare for local use.

How many minutes does this come with ? Been a while since I bought a prepaid from T-Mo.

Will hopefully get the 35% BCB.

It's 49.99, so after BCB it will be $32.50.

I have not purchased any phone there for more than a year.
My order went into "pending" and later ( after I called ) it got canceled.
They told me to try again.
Having rep on the line I put another order.
Same story - the order goes into pending and canceled.
They told that I can CALL and get it over the phone but w/o BCB or go to store.
So this whole thing is a FRAUDULENT ADVERTISING.
You see a phone in the shopping basket with BCB icon.
However, after you go to confirmation they just cancel your order.
Tried with 2 different CC's and with my spouse name as well.
Same result.

Screw them.

CAN I USE THIS PHONE WITH REGULAT T-Mobile PLAN OR IT IS LOCKED TO PREPAID PLAN???
PLEASE UPDATE ASAP

The T-Mobile CSR's may tell you otherwise but YES, you may use this phone on either a post-paid plan or prepaid account. The reason I know is because I've purchased a prepaid T-Mobile handset for my sister on two or three separate occasions to replace a phone she's either lost or damaged. We've never encountered any issues with using the prepaid phones on our postpaid account.

Similar thing happened to me whilst ordering today .. it said my order is not complete (gave me an order number) and asked me to click on a chat link / call Cust Service.
I called CSR (who was exceptionally good btw) and she explained that the order needs to be "verified", put me on hold for 2 mins and came back and said it was all taken care of. Got my order e-mail in about 30 mins or so.
Bcos the order did not go through on the website, I was skeptical about the CashBack.

Came home to find e-mails from Bing "You earned $17.50 from your TMobile purchase " AND one from T-Mo that my phone has already shipped !

T-Mobile bing CB is totally useless and it is false advertisement indeed. You always have to contact CS to complete the order so that so won't get your CashBack.

Just ordered no problem. BCB already showing up in my account.

TMobile
Unit price:$49.99
CashBack (%):35.00 %
Quantity:1

$17.50

I was able to order the phone online. Not sure if I'll see the CashBack though.

This is a good price. I've been trying to buy this phone for a few weeks on eBay and prices are typically not less than $60 shipped.

That is not true. I ordered it this afternoon (had to contact CS) and received a 35% CB email from Bing half hout later.

I want to know too,

CAN I USE THIS PHONE WITH REGULAT T-Mobile PLAN OR IT IS LOCKED TO PREPAID PLAN???

ab2pk has it right.............

There is no such thing as "plan" locked...it is carrier locked to T-Mobile and you can use it with a T-Mobile SIM.

Now all this deal needs is the free $25 prepaid card to make it one of the hottest deals ever. Come on T Mobile, post the $25 card!!

I think i'm going to wait for the $25 bonus

will this work in india?

Thanks OP. I tried buying this a month ago @ $79 w/ BCB, but the transaction kept failing. Saved myself ~$21 today after the difference in price and BCB discount.

Thanks,
pimy

You probably would have had an answer sooner if you turned off caps lock and fixed the spelling of regular. I made it to REGULAT then stopped reading, though the caps should have made me just skip past it totally. I must be getting old.

For phone specs, I see GSM 850 / 1800 / 1900

In some central and latin american countries this phone will work perfectly. It's not so hard to look up the frequencies used in the country you plan to visit. So I would consider this an international phone for some people.

Mexico

It's only locked for users that use all CAPS.

I must not be very good at Bing searches, how are yall finding 35%? I only see 4-5% etc.

Skipping 44 Messages...

Getting very frustrated with T-Mobile. Anyone else have trouble with their T349? My first one failed within 15 days so was replaced at no charge to me. Second one randomly powers off about once a week, Customer service said try this and try that. Nothing fixes the issue. According to the T-Mobile website, other samsungs also have issues randomly powering off. Anyway, according to the warranty terms, T-Mobile will replace 2nd phone with 3rd phone for $10 shipping charge. Must return 2nd phone to them within 7 days of receiving 3rd phone. Failure to return 2nd phone within 7 days results in $120 restocking fee!

Maybe better to just throw this one in the trash and order another prepaid phone. Or maybe better to just switch to Page Plus and pay $40/month for more minutes/texts on the Verizon network than pay $65/month as I'm currently doing.
