Just found this. Somewhat unremarkable specs for a 15" laptop except the GTX 260m 1GB video card (112 shader, 256bit memory bus). Non-gamers will probably want to pass on the 2.0 GHz P7350 Dual-core and 768 line display. Copy and paste of specs:

you are looking at 2 completely different laptops. The Asus is for gaming. If you want to game, get the Asus. It has a great video card and is a great price. Depending on how comfortable you are with refurbs. If you aren't planning on gaming, the HP you have listed is mediocre deal for the price. You can find a laptop with similar specs for that price or less every week on sale. Hope that answers your question.

But as tomiboy59 said, completely different laptop. One can play modern games (Far Cry 2, Assassin's Creed, Dragon Age, etc...) at full detail in native resolution. The HP with Intel integrated can barely play those games on lowest detail.
