Two USB ports allow you to network your printer or external HDD directly. Compared to buying a print server or NAS, you are saving a lot of money.
With all the anti-buyDOTcom sentiment, I'm a bit reluctant to bite. Green for OP.

My network printer attaches to my router with a cat 5 cable as does my desktop. If I ever get another printer it will have a wireless NIC. The NAS idea is interesting though.
Runs DD-WRT and Tomato. Its one of the cadillacs of the open source compatable routers. Green. I didn't see it in the DD-WRT list, though... Link I did find this for the 500GPv2 and DD-WRT - Link I don't see it in the tomato list either. Link
I'd def be interested in tomato b/c I've had nothing but trouble with DD-WRT QoS... and QoS is important to me.
Its the Asus WL500G_Premium v2 on ddwrt's wiki list. I didn't check tomato, but since its broadcomm, and I know the 520GU works on it, it should be fine.

This is ice cold. For same amount of money you can get an Asus N router with USB ports (google RT-N13U) without any rebates. A few weeks ago you could pick up N13U for $20 AR. This is 5 year old wireless technology at a premium price.

Not supported by dd-wrt or tomato... why? Maybe b/c of the Ralink3052 CPU... idk
Tried using the QIS (quick internet setup) with my Comcast HSI but I can't get it to work. The QIS is supposed to make things easy, but heck if I can figure it out. Anyone have any ideas? I tried automatic detection using a dynamic ip but it didn't work. Not sure if that is what I should use with comcast or not. I thought maybe I need to use PPPOE, but then it asks for a username and password.
