Just got an e-mail from Microcenter that the 2tb Hitachi Deskstar is $149.99 after instant rebate, in-store pickup only. Next lowest price I could find is $149.99 at The Egg but after $20 mail in gift card.

Site says 16mb cache

E-mail says limit 1 per household, but the website doesn't have that restriction so YMMV on getting more than one.

They also have the 1TB for $69.99 limit 1, store pickup only
1tb deal

Not bad if you want the ability to return DOA drives to a B&M.

Otherwise TigerDirect is (170$ - 8.1% BCB - 20$ rebate) = $136.23 for a single drive

Bought this $115 from Dell. Working great...

Microcenter has had these for $149 for over a month now. Great drives, especially retail boxed.

Bing cancel the CashBack.. .section 17????

Did they quote section 17 to you? I can't seem to find section 17.

Newegg now has for $139 ($169 - $10 code (EMCYNYX66) - $20 rebate).

You should post this as a new thread. Rebate is limit _5_
Pretty hot deal IMO.

@Elpee

I don't see where this is $115 at Dell. I see this at $179 at Dell.

Thanks op.

Drives have 32 MB cache, Microcenter has them advertised incorrectly on the website as having 16 MB cache.

Picked up 3 from the store for a RAID5 array - just talked to a manager at the Fairfax, VA and told him that I needed them for work and he let me buy more than one.
