back again, eh...maybe I'll spring for a pair this time.
Hey, does anybody know (I'm sure several of you already own these since they've been on sale @ Dell so many times) if they can be hooked up directly to a TV instead of a computer? I want to use them for the TV in the workout room. TIA.

I have used the speakers for a few weeks now and am not impressed with the sound quality, though for $25 you get what you pay for. The unit is prone to feedback and the sound from the tiny satellite speakers does not radiate well.

We purchased 4 sets for the office last time. They sound amazing for 25 dollars.
We just ordered 10 more. I think something might be wrong with your pair because at half volume these speakers fill a 14x14 office easily and it's at a volume you could throw a disco party at.
We are very very satisfied with these speakers for $25 bux a pair I doubt you find anything better. Now do they sound like a $100 dollar pair of speakers with free cotton candy and circus tickets for the family...well of course not! but for 25 bux if you haven't guessed it or not..we are plenty satisfied.
There will be much dancing in the cubicle Isles when these arrive.
I have heard both and the Dell's blow them away in clarity. Loudness is about the same even though the wattage diff but speakers really aren't just rated in watts so I wouldn't pay attention to that number much. The Dell's can also be listened to at a louder volume with lower distortion.
Good to know. Thanks King and prologic. Just ordered one.

Bought these last month...
Save your money & get a higher end speaker system for like $100. The sound qulity is so-so. The speakers loof & feel cheap though. They look much nicer in the photos than they so in person.

Again another comment saying these don't sound like $100 pair of speakers...it's pretty insane to think $25 speakers will EVER sound like a $100 high quality pair. Now can you listen to loud rap music and expect this sub to really THUMP you out of your chair??? No it's not going to happen but if you like a great voice quality without harsh sounding highs and a warm mid range and a little Thump from the small sub then this is a great deal at $25 bux. Goto Wal-Mart, Best-Buy, Fry's, Sams, Costco, and find a pair of speakers for $25 bux that share this quality and then come back and share the deal with all of us..trust me I'll be the first in line to buy them.
I think someone saw they are normally $60 and are expecting that level...I've heard better sounding $60 speakers but not at a $25 price.
No it is through a standard phono (headphone) jack. I bought these last time and for the price they work great for LCD's/monitors that come with sub-par built-in speakers.
