I got sick of ordering these off brand chargers only to discover that it doesn't work with my Ipod Touch. If anyone orders this and discovers that it can charge iPod Touch devices. Please let me know....
I got what looks like the same exact item from DealExtreme for a few bucks and free shipping. If you look around on DX, it will say which ones work with touches. Mine works with my 3GS.
I would be cautious when using one of those USB to cigarette lighted adapters. I used one the other day and suddenly started smelling smoke. Turns out the iNside electronics on the adapter started to fry!

Yes, has to be more careful on those Car Charger. I bought one for my old pocket PC. It doesn't provide enough juice to charge my PDA. I have to turn the PDA off in order to get some charge from my car.

do you have a 2nd gen touch? i got this for my son so his 2nd gen would be convertible with all my 1st gen touch stuff and it's worked great so far (both alarm clock players/chargers, boombox, and a really old itrip fm/cigarette adapters)
