I personally own this processor and absolutely love it. Runs everything I throw at it. Was thinking of buying a 2nd for a home server and found this deal. So this is a good deal for many.....Still not really, maybe 6 month or a year ago. IMO you'd be better of buying a Phenom II 555 BE (or even the 550) and new MB for the same price as the e8400, even on sale. (PS. Yes, I have an e8400). e8400 may be a little better, but the Phenom still out does it in many tests, and for a good bit cheaper.
