The INTEL CORE I5 750 + GIGABYTE GA-P55A-UD3 was so much better, Sata 3.0 and USB 3.0, and not to mention it was $20 cheaper. MSI P55-GD55 have neither of the two. I'm disappointed in this week Frys ad.
How come a 50% discount as compared to your favorite stores is NOT a HOT deal for you? The X2 250 combo goes for $110 on Newegg. Frys is selling it for 49.99 AR + TAX.
When we clobber for a 1-4% FW CB every now and then; a 50% discount is definitely a hot deal.

OP, you have at least a two hour head start on folks on the west coast. Why don't you post each combo separately? As far as I'm aware there are no limits to the number of posts you are allowed to make. The all encompassing "combo deals" subject title has no cachet and masks potentially good deals. FW viewers react to different price points. A separate post will make each combo deal more visible. Since this site does not support threading, multiple item posts also makes it harder to follow a discussion on a particular item.

And not only that, the last item isn't even a combo deal.

Suggestion for kshell- Why don't you get out of bed a little earlier on the west coast and look up san jose mercury news for the frys ad? It's usually posted around 2am pacific so you can get the jump start you need all by yourself!
Thanks for your posts garlicnun!

Newspapers are on the driveway by 5AM. The nearest Fry's is less than 15 minutes away and does not open until 8AM (9AM weekends). Plenty of time for breakfast and browsing the ads.
I did not ask garlicnun to stop posting. My opinion is that FW readers would benefit more if he separated the combos into separate posts. Many specific posts instead of one vague post.

No. Posting each combo separately is pointless. Are there tens of replies for each combo? Nope. Ten different threads for ten different items is unnecessary. Posting other deals that is not a combo is also a fine idea. Such as the 20 dollar AR heatsink. Especially when the deals are lukewarm. Even if all the deals are posted at once there are relatively few replies.
That Biostar board in the cheapest AMD combo blows. The MSI board with same old chipset that Fry's often uses in the same combo at the same price is much better.
The i7 860 deal last week was much better than this week's i5 750 combo. The 860 was just $20 more, and the motherboard looks to be better. Faster stock clock speeds, as well as hyper-threading. Single 16x PCI-E or dual 8x PCI-E on last weeks combo for SLI/crossfire, while the MSI board only has crossfire available to it, and the second PCI-E slot works at x4 speed. Just an FYI.
