FYI for those who are considering taking these apart and putting them in notebook computers:
1) These are 12.5mm tall drives, not the normal 9.5mm; 12.5mm will fit in 17" MacBook Pros and not much else 2) AFAIK all the currently shipping versions of these drives are NOT a SATA interface on the drive with a SATA-USB converter, they're actually a direct USB connection on the drive. Found this out the hard way.
