Just last week I had a dozen oysters there for $6.90. They come on a large bucket of ice with lemons, cocktail sauce, horseradish, and some sort of Japanese sauce. The oysters that I got were huge and very good. Some of the oysters that I saw others had were not as big, but still a good size. We had to wait for the oysters to be shucked, a good sign. I thought $6.90 was a great deal, but $3.95 is fantastic. On the east cost, at a good place, oysters like this would go for $20-30.
This is a great restaurant even though it's a chain. I've visited the Houston and Cincinnati locations several times and am always blown away by the food.
I'll have to plan a roadtrip to Cincinnati before this promo ends!
DFW, Mon and Tues. We went yesterday (Weds) but got the discount price still since they were nice about it. Regularly 5.95 per pound and 9.95 per 2 pounds. I got 2 dozen oysters to myself. I have to say they are pretty damn good, nice plump and juicy. I've had oysters at Shucker's in Baltimore and these are just as good.
San Antonio location. Crawfish was a great deal $4.95 regular price on friday, well cooked and decent size. Oysters were 2.5" to 4.5" (meat) and were fresh. Came in a large bowl with ice, horseradish, cocktail sauce, lemon. Had to wait 1hr 45min on a friday night though. Got 2 doz oysters, 1lb crawfish (comes with corn and potatoes), cup of lobster bisque, 2 draft beers. TOTAL: 30 +tax + 7tip. I looked up normal prices of raw oysters at another place and it was $12/doz, so this was a good deal!!
