I also find it extremely annoying that they stopped putting the Renton store ads online so saving me the extra step of verifying local pricing earns you a gold star!

Confirmed that the i7 combo does include a retail CPU - they don't try to sneak OEM in there. My 920 has been a solid overclocker - sounds like the 930 ups the ante even more!

Thank you so much for posting that! I might head down there and grab one. For the i7 combo: They have 16 CPUs and 30 something boards as of 12:20PM PST.
I picked up a E5200 combo like 3 years ago from them for 90 bucks..

For those that have access to Microcenter B&M,there are rumors this box cpu only will be available for $229 on 3/8, according to this thread from Anandtech Hot Deals forum....
Any update for Sunday (or Monday) ads yet? Got a x555 combo, but hoping to get a decent board (that would allow unlocking 4 cores) and a slower AM3 processor for a good pairing. Also, any DDR3/DDR2 deals?

ECS is better than they used to be, but I find that their boards always seem to underpreform. I literally had an ECS board burn up once on power up; filled a small room with smoke. I still use them for extreme budget builds if I can get a good Fry's bundle, but I'd much rather have an Asus or MSI.

I went to the Seattle/Renton store today to pick up a combo because they showed in stock online. When I got there they said they were sold out. I asked about the online inventory checker and they said it's not always up to date. OK so I went back to work and placed the order online to see if it would get cancelled. Within 2 minutes my order was ready to be picked up. WTH? So I called and talked to a CSR and she verified 3 CPUs and 25 mobo's in stock. I asked about the combo price and she called components to verify and they said it was such a big loss they decided not to honor that price.
Can they do this? They are going to hold my items for 3 days so if it's worth going back to pick up my stuff with ad in hand I'll do it. Sucks it's 20 miles away though.

Hi! I went to the Renton store on March 5 at 11:15am and as soon as I asked for the i7 combo they told me I got the last one and they put a little paper sign out saying that the combo was sold out. I'm not sure if they make a distinction between a combo sale and the invidivual components. I also asked them how many combos they had originally and the guy said 20.

Lucky! Thanks for the info. I guess I really don't need the i7. I bought the i5 gateway laptop hot deal from Bestbuy and the i3 530+gigabyte combo deal for $119 at Fry's a few weeks ago.
