PowerColor AX5770 1GBD5-H ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB GDDR5 PCI-E 2.1 x16, DVI-I (Dual Link), VGA, HDMI, CrossFireX Supported Video Card

http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=1001...

HDMI is probably shared with DVI so no 3 monitor Eyefinity but it could work as secondary in Crossfire w/Eyefinity. Not sure though.

From Newegg: POWERCOLOR PCS+ AX5770 1GBD5-PPG Radeon HD 5770 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card - Retail
Supports Eyefinity, Dirt2 included

$3 off with bing CashBack and $10 off with ebillme

$117 final price.

I don't know why people aren't jumping all over this, its a great deal. I just got in for one.

There are different SKUs depending on what software is or is not included. Per the Powercolor site, the OP's deal doesn't have Dirt2 or any included games. The equivalent Newegg item is this one (currently $135 AR through the 15th w/FS). The card apparently has DVI, HDMI, and a D-SUB port in back so Eyefininty is do able. I suspect all 5770s are capable of it, though some may need converters depending on your monitor setup.[/L]

People are avoiding this deal simply because there are too many negatives review on this brand and card.

im building a new gaming rig (first build in over almost 2 decades), ill likely build an i7, would this be an appropriate card or should i really go higher?

If you're not planning on xfiring these you should keep it moving. The GTX 470/480 and they will be a perfect video card for the i7. 5850 or 5870 will be just as great if not better than the Fermi so don't forget about them

You miss the whole point BasicLove. Not every one wants to run Crysis at 100fps. For all but a few the i7 and the 5850/5870 and Fermi are/will be a big waste of money. This site is about making sensible purchases at a good price hence FatWallet not Fathead.

If you need REAL performance(double precision 64 bit) you would have bought a Socket 1207 with an Istanbul core cpu last summer and put in a couple of Fire GL8750's or Quadro 5800's. It is going to be a year before ATI certifies the 5xxx series and a year and a half before nVidia certifies Fermi with HP software.

That's a different card, this one is a 1GBD5-H, thats a 1GBD5-PPG.

Rebates are usually a sign of price drops in coming months. Depends on whether you need this now and are willing to deal with rebate hassle, or can put off the purchase. Nvidia's releases will drive down prices

We'll see if NV will be able to drive down prices; initial rumors are that performance is lackluster, and the gpus are expensive.

Tempted to buy this for our HTPC/gaming PC. The wattage at idle is lower than many other cards:

Anybody get the rebate submitted? The site seems to be down.
