This, plus the Vizio 551 and 552 both use the same panel and LED array. The 551 is <$1600 if you can find one in stock, and the new 552 is <$1900 right out of the gate. Granted it's a Vizio, but LG isnt a top brand in my book either tho.

amongst back-lit LEDs the only the samsung 8500 its better...
