IR = instant rebate. It comes off the purchase price when you buy.

ER = easy rebate. You can file for the rebate over the web. No mail required. I have been very pleased with Staples easy rebates.

That's funny, on the online ad, when you click on the image of the flash drive, it shows "8GB" written on it...

Diff regions have diff ads, but the sales are applicable to all. 32257 and 02131 have dif ads for tomorrow, altho you're better off waiting until the FOLLOWING weeks sale which has a 4gb flash drive for cheaper--
