Those who like Panasonic brand. Costco has Panasonic 605BK for $119.XX after $60 instant discount, plus you got 2nd year warranty free. I don't have any blue-ray dvd so hold off for now.

I didn't know Sylvania was still in business.

Does anyone know if this player is complatible with AVCHD format - blu-ray format on regular DVD media? One reviewer mentioned it does not play HD video from SD card. I have a Sony camcorder and I plan to put the recorded AVCHD files on DVD media.

You mean the DMP-BD605K, and it's $139.99 after $40 instant discount. Went to the store here in town and verified the price. DMP-BD605K

This one does an excellent job for up-scaling DVDs.
Load time is slow.
I only play BD and DVD and am happy with it.

In for 1 . Thanks OP!

I would like to know this too if any one has the information. I've searched everywhere and couldn't find an answer.

YES! It is $60 instant discount at Tukwilla store in Washington. I looked at this player and read the information on the box for about $5-6 minutes. There is no mistake.

I ordered mine sat or Sunday and it came today I wish it was smaller but it fits in fine with my set up goes great with my mitsu dlp tv I got off here

Received it today, first AVCHD disc I tried failed, I thought it does not read AVCHD discs. It turned out I chosed the wrong file system. Burned another disc, the screen blinked when loading the disc, but then it played fine. Happy now.

Shoprite (sells electronics)) had a Hiteker TLBD-02 Blu-ray player for $90 off $160 for $70 plus tax. It plays Mpeg4-avc,H.264,VC-1,DTS-HD,BD-Java(listed on box),ethernet port(RJ-45). I bought two Saturday of Easter weekend. I've played Mkv,Divx,Xvid,H.264 so far and no problems. It also has HDMI v1.3, two usb ports 2.0(one in front and one in back). Plus my purcase put me over the top for a free Shoprite turkey (value $16). And it plays Blu-rays too. Sweet!

They've really gotten their economy in gear after separating from the Penn Republic.
