I was in the South Chino Hills, CA Lowes and found these packages of 7 CFL light bulbs for only $1.00. The sign said "This Weekend Only", so I guess today is the last day. These are 13W (60W equivalent) mini-bulbs from Bright Effects (#0120646). On the front of the box it says you also get a Lowes $10 off $50 coupon. When I peeked inside the clear window on the front of the box, I can see the actual coupon, and noticed that it expired on 2/1/10. I asked a CSR about the expired coupon, and was told that they will still honor it. I don't know this applies to all coupons or just this coupon, or all Lowes stores (this store seems to have friendlier people than other Lowes), so YMMV. Anyone know if other Lowes will honor expired coupons? This could be hot, especially if they will take expired OSH $10 off $30 coupons.
On a purchase over a year ago the cashier at my Lowes told me the same line about a outdated coupon being honored anyhow.......still waiting. Already did the BBB thing on them twice in the past.
I bought a prefab building from them in 1996 and only enough parts for about 3/4 of a building. Took BBB two or three months to get them come through on that mess.
If the bulbs are made by Feit as someone else stated, I wouldn't waste your time/effort. I have ~35 CFL bulbs in my house. Of them, 4 of them are Feit bulbs. All 4 Feit bulbs have gone bad (vs a single bulb from another brand). I called and got replacements for 3 of them - 2 of the 3 replacements have gone bad!. Feit bulbs aren't worth my time anymore - I'm replacing them when they go bad now. The Feit bulbs are about the same age as all the other bulbs in my house, and scattered throughout fixtures - no dimmers/anything like that.
Good deal OP, but bad deal if the bulbs only last 3 months like my experience.

last fall, my lowes cashier stated they take coupons up to 30 days past expiration, and she did it for me without batting an eye, acting like it was done all the time and no big deal.
I agree on the cheap CFL's. every time I buy the cheap ones they burn out within a month or two, or crackle and blink sometimes. not worth it since they are not supposed to be thrown in the trash.
