They had the same deal two weeks ago, but with the DDR3 version of the same motherboard. This one's better for anyone looking to reuse some DDR2. 4x DDR2, 6 SATA, and the HD 4200 DVI out. Things you don't always find on microATX motherboards in a <$100 combo. Motherboard alone goes for $70-80 elsewhere, CPU for $100.

anyone know if the ACC function works on this MoBo?
There is unlocking potential with that board. It is also considered a good overclocker. So that is a really good combo if you want to take a run at getting more than you paid for for it. Danzilla pointed out the other 3 real pluses with that board.
Does Fry's ever do these CPU + MB deals online or are they strictly in-store deals only? This is one heck of a deal on a very good motherboard and a powerful CPU, even if the extra cores don't unlock.
I picked one of these up tonight. Hopefully I'll have time to install it this week and be able to report on the ACC unlocking the 2 other cores.

Closest Fry's, Duluth, GA. 700 Miles exactly. Tempting, but no.
Sucks that I have lived in both California, and Arizona (both Fry's strongholds) and have never been closer than a 3 hour drive from a Fry's.

Picked up one set at the Fountain Valley in CA. I was able to unlock all 4 cores and overclocked the CPU to 3.52Ghz using the auto-overclocking features of the motherboard. Didn't feel like to mess around with the manual overclocking because I'm happy with what I got.
I'm installing Ubuntu 9.10 right now and see if I can stress test the setup.
So mad... I must have gotten a dud. I turned ACC on AUTO and it wouldn't post. Then I figured out through trial and error that if you hit the reset button it will fail and allow you to go back into the BIOS instead of having to do the jumper trick. So after that, you set it to disabled and then it will tell you to hit F3 or F4 to unlock the cores. Then it unlocks core #3. Then it will reboot and ask you to unlock core #4. If core #4 doesn't work it will freeze and start over again.
I guess 3 out of 4 cores is better than 2 but still bummed that it's just bad luck that I didn't get one of the CPUs with 4 good cores...
Hey Badfish, just be a "Happy Member" that you got the deal and got the 3rd core unlocked. I've been wanting to get in on this deal but don't live near a frys like a lot of people here. Why can't Frys do these on their website?
Been looking to build a shuttle but I want two hdd's and amd chip so looks like microatx is best option.. great post.. frys up the street here in atlanta ..green for op!.
Snagged the last full combo in atlanta.. I think norcross has more chips and duluth has more motherboards.. Thanks again OP.

frys' website and online inventory sucks, it showed that it's available at my local store for pickup. I ordered it then got email saying it's not in stock. Same thing hapened to last week's deal too.
