From one of the reviews listed on the printer page:

I have used this printer for about a year after giving up on ink jets because of short cartridge life. I know it's a bit slow, doesn't have ethernet or duplex printing and lots of bells and whistles and is no photo printer (somewhat dull & dark pictures compared to photo printers and commercial prints). However it provides very sharp text and nice color illustrations; great for brochures, fliers, chart, letterheads etc. Like all color lasers printing a full page of color on thin paper will promote curling. A note about economy, the starter cartridges on my PC seem to be capable of about 608 pages of black and 735 pages of each color. Acording to HP new cartridges at $75-$80 each will print 2200 pages of black text and 1400 pages of color (typically 5% coverage). Thus two printers at $149 each will equate to 4 new cartridges and go equally far except for black. My suggestion buy new printers at this price and an extra new black cartridge when/if needed. At $149 you cannot go wrong.

You may be able to do a little better at Staples. $225-$33 (15% coupon YMMV) - $50 printer trade in =$141. For me the sales tax is less than the shipping. No promises Staples will honor the 15% coupon because $225 is a special buy.

Newegg sells the Rosewill replacement cartridges for $50 each which is half of what HP wants.

Update:My Staples did honor the 15% off along with the $50 trade in credit.

Doesn't it have to be regular price to get the $50 trade-in? I have a printer that I would love to recycle, but I don't know if they will take it toward this printer. Also, once you get the 15% off, it will less than the minimum $199 required for the trade-in program.

Code is dead now.
