Fruit smoothies. I bought lots of fruit from the fruit vendor yesterday, so I'm living on fruit smoothies this weekend.

So, I'm on the dance floor with my two oldest sisters at the reception last night... and this little girl (5 or 6) stands in front of me and just stares and then says "you look like Snow White!"
I'm sure it was my black hair and pasty white skin (not my princess-like qualities) but it still made my night.

It's funny how a well fit pair of jeans can make a girl feel so good.
Got some new jeans last night... washed and wore them today. LOVE the fit (very hippie... bell bottom... stretch). They feel good and look good (and I NEVER like buying new clothes).

Just made me happy.
I scored a pair of FREE jeans from Old Navy recently. Took me trying on EIGHT pairs to get good ones...but they all fit better because they were free.
Also fun was watching the cashier struggle to figure out the directions. Reading comprehension FAIL.
sometimes jeans don't fit like they should you make 'em feel so good

I had enough airline miles from a credit card deal last year to buy round trip tickets for my DS, DDIL and DGD to come to NY for Christmas. It only cost me $15 in "taxes and fees." You really can't do better than that.

I got my old laptop working the other day okay, to be fair, I didn't actually "do" anything-I just let it sit for months b/c I was so frustrated (couldn't do anything with it b/c as soon as JAWS would load, it would shut down) for some reason, when I plugged it in and turned it on it worked just fine until it overheated and shut down, but that was about two hours later

My mom has just been amazing about this birdnesting thing. I spent my first night at her house last night and she couldn't have been sweeter or more hospitable. She went to the store yesterday and stocked her fridge with things for me to take for lunches and breakfast. She checked in on me several times to make sure I was doing okay. She hugged me and made me feel loved... which was really wonderful right now.
My mom didn't always do right by me when I was a kid... but, since I've been an adult... at the times I needed her to do or say the right thing... she always has. So many times when others have let me down... she's been there to pick me up.
I am truly blessed.

The company I'm visiting today provided me with a mini fridge filled with assorted beverages. It takes so little to make me happy.
My work laptop screen hinge has been riding a dangerous path for the last 3 weeks. The hinge was replaced 5 months ago but Lenovo denied it to be a design flaw and refused to fix any machines in the future. I am not due for an upgrade until next August but the IT manager agreed to a spring time replacement. I was trying to be very careful in handling the hinge so that it does not break but yesterday it did and I was prepared to use a slow loaner machine until next year. To my surprise, IT manager asked me to put in a request for a new machine now (woo hoo!). It took me all day yesterday to decide whethere to get a T420 or a W520. Finally went with the 520 since the power supply can be used as a weapon for self defense . That power brick is huge but I learned that my current power supply can be used for charging but the processor will not run at full speed.
i7 processor, 8GB RAM, 1GB Video and USB 3? Can't go too much wrong with that.
