A real Japanese style lunch box (called "bento") from local Japanese fish market. I had a rice dish that my mom makes (and Mom's is better! But this one was ok) that was served with small portions of seaweed salad, potato salad, kara-age (breaded chicken chunks) and a croquette.
did try a dr praeger burger with shredded cheese for lunch. it was okay. i can't find gardenburger anywhere i also had handfuls of potato lentil chips from trader joe's so yum brewed me a latte because i didnt' do one this morning
A mushroom and a chicken empanada with fresh apricot sorbet as dessert. The place I went to used to sell empanadas with a side salad but they discontinued it. I really wanted salad so it was disappointing.
Veggie lo mein and steamed broccoli leftover from yesterday's lunch. The upside, $6 total for 2 lunches. The downside, it is very boring and there was a recent Big Bang Theory rerun about eating cruciferous veggies (in this case, it was Brussels sprouts) that made me feel uneasy.
