this is a far different conclusion than the guy the news media used to fan the flames on this story

I always suspected that those guys who said they analyzed the audio tape and could identify whose voice it was were FOS.

He chased an unarmed kid and when confronted, one of them (the kid or the killer) said FU(K. big deal which one said the word! an innocent was killed.

I think this was in reference to the "expert" who previously stated the screamer was Trayvon. FBI reports the recording is too indistinct to determine WHO was screaming.

You can't chase someone, catch them, shoot them dead and then claim you killed them in self defense. Period.

Period. But you can follow someone, stop following them, get jumped from behind and beaten to a pulp, shoot them dead and claim you killed them in self defense. There will never be a "Period" on this deal because no one knows if it went down as you described it or as I did. Or maybe someone does know, since I read that despite the huge media dump the other day there is 10% of the evidence that only the court has seen.

Pray tell, what was the thug part? Marijuana in his system, wearing a hoodie, or just being African American? Or was it the skittles?
How people can not see that it was some dumbshit wannabe cop with a gun that caused another human being who was just walking to his father's house to end up dead is beyond me.

How people can not see that martin was a thug that tagged his school, stole jewelry, sells drugs who attacked a respected man in his own community who was serving that community by watching for robbers that the police have been unable to stop.

If someone jumped out of their car and pursued me, I'd confront them too. Although I'm not black I do often wear hoodies, and a scrawny little dipshit like Zimmerman would rightly feel threatened if I confronted him. Guess he'd shoot me dead too?
After pursuing and shooting dead an unarmed black man, I'm sure Zimmerman will get the best legal team the NRA can provide.
BTW - it's Neighborhood WATCH, not Neighborhood PURSUE AND CONFRONT. The Police told him not to pursue, he did, and someone died.

You say chase. Zimmerman says followed. He tends to be not completely truthful when the circumstance is right, even in front of a judge.
I wonder how he can take the stand without getting ripped apart, or can tell the jury his self defense story without taking the stand.
Chances are there won't BE a trial. The judge is going to cut him free. That being said, nothing will be happening for about a year.

It did. The black and liberal public threatened a lynch mob after due process was completed. So now we have double jeopardy, soon to be followed by triple and quadruple jeopardy.

I am still reserving judgment --- but it's looking more and more like a trouble-making kid was trying to beat down a wanna be rent-a-cop
the kid didn't want to be disrespected by punk neighborhood watch guy
the kid got the upper-hand and was beating the crap out of the guy and then the guy shot him
too bad for everyone involved
worse for the american people --- once again we are reminded just how horrible and rotten to the core our news media is

I think you are right. I think it was one of those situations that spiraled out of control. I don't believe either party was innocent of any wrong doing.
Now that more info has come out, I wonder if the media is going to refer to the unfortunate "watermelon iced tea" now and stereotype things even more.

LOL, one of things I have in common with the dead man, and I have in common with all of us I hope, is the right to walk through a residential American neighborhood without being shot dead by a failed human being who's watched too many Batman movies.

I get the part about not wanting to be profiled or harassed by batman.
But beating the crap out of a batman, clearly crosses the line. In my humble pontificating opinion, of course.

Batman chased me down. For all I knew Batman could have been an armed lunatic intent on not letting "the a$$holes get away this time". If Batman had stayed in his BatMobile, and used his BatPhone to call Commissioner Gordon, a professional could have dealt with the situation, and I'd still be alive.
This ain't Gotham, Joker.

Martial Arts are a bad thing now? When did that happen? Martial Arts teach respect and self-control, they are a defensive skill that teach you to use your opponent's aggression against them. Speaking as someone with 12 years of Judo under his, er, black belt (tip your waitress!).
I'm much more concerned about people who fail psych tests carrying handguns than I am Martial Arts.
