As of 5pm earlier this afternoon, there were 10+ people camped out in front of the Best Buy in Laurel, MD. Was contemplating hanging out there with them, but after browsing through all of the Black Friday ads, I realized there are tons of items I *want*, but nothing I *need* plus I was just way too tired after my two turkey meals. So I will be keeping myself amused by stories of others who lined up.
I can find some of these deals somewhere else for a similar price without freezing my hiney off in the pouring rain.

I just rolled by the stores at (8:30PM) and - +100 at CompUSA - 0 at OM, but that will change as CompUSA is next door - +60 at BB - 0 at Staples - +30 CC
I was actually planning to wake up at 2-3 AM but I guess I'm going to sleep in! |

I live in WI and the temperature is extremely mild right now (38). I was about go start my camp out at 10pm cst. As I drove into the parking lot there were easily 100 people and extended past the entire building, across the street and to old country buffet (Janesville, WI for those familiar). I was hoping for a TV but the deal went cold as soon as I saw all those people. |

9:00pm Same thing at the Maine Mall Best Buy - 80 to 100 people - they've got tents and campstoves set up and all that crap - it's raining on and off - they all look like ebayers too (whatever an ebayer looks like - you know - never seen daylight). Darn I miss the old days when 3am was a good time to show up. |

I hear you. The unemployed double dipping types. We get support them with our tax dollars, and in turn they get to sell junk on eBay as unreported income. America at its finest. |

I get off work Thanksgiving Day at 2:30 and plan to drive out to BB after that. Hopefully I won't be too late. There are a few BBs here in my city, so I have some options if the first is busy already. It's going to be about 30F here tomorrow night. I'll be getting off my 16 hour shift (which will pay for both laptops and the desktop!), so I'm going to show up and actually sleep in the front of the BB. I'm bringing:
- sleeping pad and blanket - water - food - gun (my city is in the top 10 most dangerous, not going to get robbed)
I'm going light like a true hobo. oh great, kill somebody or get killed on thanksgiving, how meaningful it is. |

got there about 4:45AM, line moved pretty quickly. once inside i couldn't find the 22" westinghouse, by the time as associate pointed me in the right direction there were 3 on the floor and the same family grabbed all 3. i was bummed but i knew people in the past would abandon items so i walked around for 15 min hoping to find an abandoned one. it was my lucky day, someone left one right by where they were on the floor. i walked over to it thinking someone would claim it. after waiting about a minute i picked it up still waiting for someone to say it was theirs. no one said anything so i checked out. was done by 5:50am. also got to use $6 best buy bucks from mcdonalds |

Well, just woke up from my morning nap after waiting in line at BB since 10:30pm. I was about 75 back and still got the 32" Westy! Sweet!!! Missed the $190 Emachine but got the $399 Compaq and get this.....The guy that got it grabbed the wrong CPU and instead of them changing it they just rang it through for the $399....the CPU I got was the SR2054X=$800 vs the SR2039NX=$650!! Little Christmas gift huh? Oh well, then I ran to Target and was in and out with the Air Hockey table for $40 in 15 min! WOW!! Merry Christmas All!!! |
