I have not had a movie sent from my Que since Feb. 26 (10 days now). I called BB Friday and was told there was a "glitch" in the system, was comped a month and given four rental coupons. Today, I called again and was told there are shipping issues they have recognized with accounts - basically all over. Evidently, movies have not been shipping out for many customers. I asked why no e-mails were sent to those customers once the problem was identified and was told they would be sent out (none received yet). My question is: are there any other Blockbuster Online renters out there that have observed the same problem or are they just feeding my a line of bull? BTW I have over 30 movies in the Que...been there for the whole time, so availability isn't the issue.
Yup here too, they tried to hand me the line that I should keep at least 30 movies in my que, so I put about 60 of them in, and they haven't shipped out any. Yeah I think maybe I just need to call this time instead of sending out an e-mail.
Called then up and the CSR verified the glitch. Kinda hard for me to complain too much since I'm using a free trial, but I did mention that they ought to start telling people the truth when they send out e-mails instead of handing people a line about keeping 30 movies in their que.

Same here, they gave me 5 coupons so far and 2 months for half price. I am on the $10/one at a time plan so it's $5 for two months.
same here, it has been 10 business days since they last shipped a movie... got about 5 free movies as coupon compensations... how did you get comped one month? sweet words of poetry? i was very nice in my emails and even requested a week's extension on my monthly subscription (3 out plan). So far all i get was 'technical glitch' and sorry for your frustrations, etc. Their customer service number is disconnected.. i'm disputing the charge thru my AMEX but its probably hopeless.. Don't want to but will probably switch to NetFlix next month...

Trust me, my kids will tell you on my second call, there weren't any sweet words! Of course, I was comped on the first call. I'm also disputing my previous month's charge. You have to call though. I have found out their e-mail customer service is worthless. They explain how "Available Now" doesn't mean the movies are available (I provided them with the definitions for "available" and "now"!). Then it was the 30 movies or more in the que. Then it was the status of the availability charges hourly, so when you see available, it may not mean available. I had a little better luck with the phone call, but you have to try several times before you get connected to at least get put on hold. I just find it amazing that there are obviously a few people out there that have had a disruption in service yet there hasn't been one e-mail initiated by Blockbuster offering an apology or explaining there is a problem in the first place!
I guess I've been lucky. I haven't had that problem. BB has basically been waiting one day to send me more movies ever since TA started. But I love TA, and I'm paying only $16 for 3-out, so I can live with it. I've had some other problems lately, but nothing too serious. I feel like they should have given me at least three "bonus" e-coupons for the problems I've had, but they only gave me one. I don't understand how BB can still have so many problems with their website after all this time. How long has it been since checking availability at B&Ms actually worked? And they have sent me the wrong DVD way too many times lately. But oh well, I'm still really happy with it, especially since TA started. I may cancel at the end of this month, though.
Sanjoelo said: Ah, thanks. Considering either NetFlix or BB rather casually at the moment. Well FWIW, I think BB kicks NF's ass up and down the street. I preferred BB even before TA started. I get more movies with BB, BB typically offers a discounted rate if you attempt to cancel, I like being able to get some of my rentals locally (especially TV show rentals), and I prefer BB's selection. If you live close to a BB B&M and want to take advantage of TA, then BB should easily be a better deal. Even the cheapest "unlimited" plan should give you a lot of rentals each month if you are returning at the store. All BB plans also include a monthly coupon that can be used for a B&M movie or game rental. I don't really care about game rentals myself, but that's nice for some people.

Cool, I may give it a go. If you order online, do you know whether you're getting widescreen or FS/P&S?

Click on the "all editions" link to see what they have. BB has never sent me a different edition than what was advertised, but NF has. That's one of the reasons that I hate NF. Also, NF doesn't acquire new/improved DVDs nearly as often as BB, which is the main reason that I prefer BB's selection.

Unless BB stop shipping movies to you and responds to your emails with stupid excuses like "technical glitches", "we have a team working on it", "we alerted the department responsible for it", etc. as of last week, i've gotten a total of 6 movie coupons.. how bout everybody else...?

I managed to get 4 coupons last Friday, but they wouldn't budge on yesterday's call. She said I was given four last week, which I explained we're in a new week and still no hope of any movies being sent until Saturday at the earliest. (Which I may receive Monday if they aren't feeding me another line...) I took the free month instead of a split credit over two months because frankly, I'm not too sure I'll stay with them. As I explained to the CR today though, a free month is worthless if I don't get any movies shipped for the month! We'll see how things go by Monday, but if there's still no movies sent then.....
BTW, when I called yesterday, I had over 30 movies in my Que and the CR told me only 9 were available to ship, so obviously their website DVD status is not very accurate.
here's a tip for all you going through movie withdrawals thanks to Blockbuster.. pester them with complaint emails.. seems like they don't keep track of their csr repies just like how they handle movies. so one complaint email will get answered by maybe two different csr's.. and the more you attempt, the more chances that some idiot at bb will give another free coupon... worth a shot..
grumpyoldman said: BTW, when I called yesterday, I had over 30 movies in my Que and the CR told me only 9 were available to ship, so obviously their website DVD status is not very accurate. I think someone posted recently that the status is supposedly linked somehow to average availability from distribution centers, but discs won't ship unless they are available at the nearest distribution center (or stores)..? *shrug* I've been waiting a pretty long time for the "available" item at the top of my queue.
interesting...three movies show up as shipped today, and my next billing date is in 2 weeks. Maybe they actually did do something about this. Since it's a free trial it's all good to me. Now..if I had been a paying customer during this glitch, it would've been a different story.
I was given as chance to fill out a online support survey about no movies being shipped to me. They got a very bad experience grade from me.

Yeah you're right pestering them through email do really pay off, i just got a total of 6 coupons in one day!!!!!!!!!!!!! yahooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!
However, i really hate this Ferdinand guy who knows thinks he knows better. i have 13 available movies and 30 movies with wait he wants me to add more!!!
Thanks for your time.
I have reviewed your account and I see that your Queue has 13 'available' movies only. This may cause further delays in your shipment even after the glitch has been resolved. Please add and maintain at least 30 'available' titles in your Queue.
Warm regards,

I am also tired of their lame excuses that they just copied and pasted. They are not really reading our concern... I would collect all of their text and paste it here..
