The husbands work for companies owned by Jeffs and his associates, and work extremely long hours. The police have stopped them for what they think is DUI and they are driving that way only because they are dazed from being so tired and worn out. There was an article on CNN.com the other day about the government giving his companies $1.7 million in contracts.

Apparently the men get to go outside and work and experience the "outside" life, and the women and children are stuck in the compound being told that their door to heaven will close if they ever leave it. I have a VERY large problem with an organization of men brainwashing all the women and children into this life.

So it's welfare and Pentagon defense contracts which pays the bills. I wonder what in the world do the polygamists groups do that help with our national defense???
