I checked Abercrombie & Fitch and can't find that style. It looks like they're sewing the tablecloths after they finish eating dinner into dresses. Any ideas?
I was wondering who does their hair. They all have the EXACT same hairstyle, with curves in the EXACT same places. Makes it look like they are all of the same bloodline....

I was thinking about that too. Someone should tell them the beehive is no longer in style.

Did you see that one chick's monobrow? You know if she has that they don't shave their legs or under their arms. No, I need to look this up now. Are there any pics online?

Is it just that their hair is styled the same and their clothing is the same, or do these women appear to be related? Their faces look very similar. I read a book years ago about these types of Mormons (written by a woman who "escaped"). Some scary stuff. I'll see if I can find the name of the book.

A lot of them are related, yes. But with re-assigning wives it would be hard for a child to keep up with who is real mom and dad.
Okay, it wasn't written by the woman, but she provided first hand accounts of what happens in these groups. It was pretty scary stuff. I think I stumbled into reading it because Kon Krakauer wrote "Into Thin Air" which I've read several times.

There's some good stuff going on now w/that one, too (Jason Beghe's interview).
These women are empty, catatonic....it's called brainwashing. They have no sense of reality, but I don't blame them. They are born into this culture and don't know anything else. At what point does someone step in and not allow another generation to be raised like this though? People in other states are allowed to marry at 15, not in Texas though. So, aside form the legal issues in this case, remove that component and how does this group of people choosing to live like they do really affect any of us? They aren't normal as the definition of what we call normal, but within their community they are. They aren't allowed to know anything different, does that make them bad people? People always judge others who don't dress, act, speak like what their perception of how people should act. Again, legal issues aside. I am not defending them, I am just wondering why, if they choose to live some odd, sheltered life within their compound, why should we care?
