You're going to have to go closer into Baltimore for some good old fashioned steamed crabs with lots of Old Bay. . .YUMMY!!! Check out this link for good crab houses.

/swoons/

I will definitely find good seafood while I am in that area. Not much good stuff fresh here in Arkansas, except catfish.

I am being kidnapped over the weekend by two of my good friends up there and going to the Fredericksburg area. I am hoping we can get to Capt. Joe's Crab House!

CATFISH Yummmmm

Ferrous the Airplane is no worse than Montgomery Biscuits Biscuits baseball just sounds wrong!

Biscuits Baseball!?!!? /snort/

The best team name I ever saw was the New Orleans hockey team -- the Ice Gators. Excellent play on words and local tie-in!

Okay, the meet will be at DuClaw in Bel Air Monday the 28th at 7:30. See you there!

I will be off the air from tomorrow morning through Thursday evening.

I'm back in town on Tuesday night, otherwise I'd join you.

so did this meetup take place?

It did!

Sadly, no one else joined us, but MadAnthony and I had a very nice evening anyway.

DuClaw had gone all edgy on me since I had been there--they had burned down a couple years ago and rebuilt, and the interior layout is different (lots of booths) and they had beers named things like Sawtooth, Venom and HellRazer.

We met in the parking lot (how could I miss that screaming yellow truck?!) and went in and had appetizers and drinks. We visited for about 1 1/2 hours, then I had to get back to get some sleep before my conference the next day.

Poor MA must have thought I was nuts (okay, he'd be one of the many)--I probably talked his ears off! I had been running, running, running all day and plopped down in the booth still going 90 miles an hour. He did get a few words in edgewise, and I got to hear about Nibbler and his work and stuff. He is a really nice fellow, and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting him.

Here's us at DuClaw. I think I was between smiling and saying something, but it's a good shot of MA.

Here's MA and where he hit the lady with his truck...

I'm sorry we missed you, Austerville! I had events the next two nights I couldn't get out of, so Monday was the one evening I could get out. Maybe next time!

Actually, I thought you pretty cool. And I'm glad you kept the conversation going - I generally tend to be pretty quiet, so it was good that you are the kind of person who is easy to talk to.

his blog said:It actually turned out pretty fun, though - she was one of those bubbly, outgoing people who is really good at starting and carrying on conversations, and we ended up covering a ton of topics, from work to cats to cars to food to family.
